Actually Im pretty sure they said he was doing it on his own power, but if your not going to use the universe blinking/destroying version of Genis I see no problems.
The onus to prove what this version of Onslaught can do/survive is on the team that drafted him. That's the burden anyone takes in drafting someone with relatively few feats.
Future appearances are only allowed if they are consistent with past ones. If Nate gets a massive power-up in DA, then his new feats won't be allowable.

That happened with crazy Genis not there, he was told he could destroy the universe then. However, if your not using those feats I have no problem with him.
You will be happy to know that, no one has X-Man for the moment. He got dropped for the guy that slayed a Sky Father being, by pulling universe ending attack from his magical pouch.
But, but, but, Onslaught pulled the gem out of Juggernaut!
You are aware that we are using all his feats, from his humble beginning as Legacy, to Captain Marvel, down to his last appearance as Photon. There is nothing to keep us from using his feats, unless it’s a what if or an alternate version of himself.
haha no. Crazy Genis incident anyone? If you want to use just Photon which is fine. His powers and abilities changed after Atlas "killed" him sans destroying the universe as aluded to Baron.
If by change of powers you mean, absorbing and internalizing the Nega Bands? Yes. With the change being he no longer needs to use an external device to apply the same power.
Atlas killing Photon? No! he killed Captain Marvel post insanity! Not Photon.

and genis is going to cause problems, i've almost no doubt about that. i'd wager it's about 50/50 that he'll be banned at some point--i hope not, but it feels that way already. if he is, then would id's team repick? i'd think not, which would leave them with just 2 characters which would lead to them bailing which would lead to a bad number of teams.

but i AM against neutering someone's power level and feats just to allow them in. and that is different from what's happening to magic users whose specific ABILITIES have been banned.
i'm not necassarily against genis--i just think he will cause problems later on, and if he does it could be unfortunate for everyone.
Maybe, but I hope not. We've been as clear as possible on the limits and what is and is not allowable. We are going to do everything possible to prevent anyone from exploiting the rules. Everyone, just please follow the damn rules. It will make things more enjoyable and pleasant for everyone involved.
Also, any team who quits midround will forfeit the fight and their opponents get an automatic win.
