Then Loj'oon approves of your orders.

-

"I certainly try," Emso says. His time as a slave has really humbled him, perhaps a little too much. What he is doing is wondrous!

More or less, Emso has an incredible Fix-It score, but really can do little else.

-

Altar seems uncomfortable taking about close calls with the Dark Side, and wishes to save that talk for after the battle...

Still, he does think you should get back in on the fighting. Hanza may be out of the action, but Nelgrin is still causing problems! And so are those assassins.

Okay! Then that's settled.

Wentar agree's with Altar's advice and intends to lead an offensive against the Hangar from Maintenance, providing a distraction for the men in the Lower Quarters to withdraw.

-

"I'll have to hire your expertise for the Free Flier sometime," Wentar says to Emso. "From what I see here you could probably make her fly smoother then any of the Temple mechanics ever have."

Alright!

Altar wants to know if you think he should remain with Emso still.

Otherwise, it is time to take the fight to those assassins...

Vlad is there with Emso, if the Srum tries anything I'm certain he can handle it.

If Altar wishes to join Wentar in this battle he would be grateful for the assistance.

"May the Force be with you," Vlad says as you depart to confront Nelgrin.

Reports are coming in that Nelgrin has stormed off on a rampage of his own, trying to smash his way down into Maintenance to complete what Hanza failed to do. He is away from the main fighting force, but he is not alone. A collection of the Overlord's Assassins have come with him, and they are bad news all together.

You manage to locate Nelgrin, with some direction from Hloo'jen (who insists on coming with you) and the senses of the Jedi.

Dramatically, he enters into the junction room that branches off into different parts of the Maintenance area just as you do. He barely fits through the opposite entrance, and the Assassins file in behind him.

"KILL!" Nelgrin roars, waving his hammer at you.

The Assassins are happy to oblige and draw sleek pistols that they lay across their forearms to steady their aim.

Wentar is happy to have Hloo'jen at his side.

-

Wentar raises his lightsaber in return and activates his personal shield. "Enough!" he yells, despite knowing it wont stop Nelgrin.

"Clear out the assassins first," Wentar says to his companions. "I'll try keep Nelgrin busy."

-

They get initiative: Bodyguard on Hloo'jen, focusing on one of the assassins firing at either of us, advance to Center and attack Nelgrin if he's there.

We get initiative: Bodyguard on Altar, advance to Center, focus on Nelgrin.

5-6... close, but initiative is theirs!

Nelgrin begins his juggernaut-style charge across the room, raising his hammer and giving a roar of defiance and anger.

The Assassins shoot around him with their sleek pistols. Wentar draws the attention of two; the first rolls seven successes, two of which Wentar can Parry. The second pulls off six successes, again two of which Wentar Parries. Block takes off a little damage. He takes 11 total.

Altar was anticipating this and spends on Evade. His Assassin is less than pleased to have a bolt reflected back at him.

They roll less well against Hloo'jen, who only takes 2 damage by your gracious protection.

Your turn!

Altar is going for one of his slightly reckless bids. He spends a point on Dash to rush past Nelgrin and dive straight into the Assassins. A less-than-great roll is still 11 damage to his target!

Hloo'jen repays you by shooting at the Assassins that targeted you. Carnival lets him shoot at two Supermooks, so he deals 5 damage to both.

And Wentar goes up against Nelgrin! Two successes is 8 damage as your lightsaber jabs through a section of Nelgrin's mostly ruined armor.

You've made him mad...

DEFENSE OF THE SEAT (Skirmish Six), Start of Turn 2

Swap out Bodyguard for Reflection.

Tap Focused guard, focusing on Nelgrin and attack him again.

-

Wentar twirls his lightsaber, readjusting his defensive stance after jabbing at Nelgrin, giving the giant his full attention. "You've caused enough chaos, Nelgrin. Give up!"

When Nelgrin strikes back, Wentar tumbles out of the way, having expected the attack and makes a low slash at the Pirate.

6-5, this time it's you!

It is hard to get a good roll with Focused Guard. Two successes is another 8 damage to Nelgrin.

Altar taps Block for extra dice in an attack on Assassin C, who has dropped his pistol and adopted a martial arts stance. Which he will never get to use as Altar rolls successes on all of his dice (including an Orthodox Guard conversion).

He runs the Assassin through with ease.

Hloo'jen keeps it up, with a pair of attacks that are 4 successes each, for 6 damage on two Assassins.

The Assassins by Altar have dropped their pistols and are going for Altar with their bare hands. They start punching and kicking at him, for 11 damage total.

One Assassin is striding toward Hloo'jen. Four successes is not impressive.

Rather expected, Nelgrin misses! Good thing too; he went for an Assault tap.

The force was with me on that tap decision.

Slight error, RF should be swapped in, not BG.

Anyway! Swapping Focused Guard for Orthodox Guard and tapping Block.

We get initiative: Attack the Assasin advancing on Hloo'jen.

They get initiative: Attack Nelgrin.

The Assassin is steering clear. You would have to give Nelgrin a free attack to get at him.

No way I'm letting that happen. I'll just have to trust Hloo'jen can handle his assassin. Ignoring the assassin and just attacking Nelgrin then.

Corrected.

Initiative stays with you!

Altar just swaps out Block and just attacks an Assassin. Five successes is 11 damage to A.

Hloo'jen gets a shot off at D as he approaches, for 5 damage.

You mirror Altar's roll with five successes of your own, for 11 damage to Nelgrin.

Nelgrin is obviously less-than-pleased by the jabs you keep putting into his sides. He slams his hammer down and sends you sprawling by rolling three 6s and a 5, triggering Focused Blow! You are Stunned for the next turn, and take 9 damage.

Altar spends a point on Evade to try ending Assassin A with the penalty for an unarmed miss... but he rolls two successes. D'oh! Assassin B also hits hard. The two combined do 11 damage to Altar (again).

Defenseless Hloo'jen takes 7 damage!

----

DEFENSE OF THE SEAT (Skirmish Six), Start of Turn 5

Entrance C

Assassin A (C10): 2(1A)/22 [MA DW]

Assassin B (C10): 2(1A)/11 [MA DW]

Center

Nelgrin (C9): 3(2A)/27 [PA FB DU]

Wentar (LS9): 3(1P)/34 [OGu BL RF] [FcGu RF] (3F) (Stunned)

Entrance A

Assassin D (C10): 2(1A)/5 [MA DW]

Hloo'jen (G8): 1(1P)/14 [CC ES] (1F)

Oh god, this is coming down to the wire.

Since I'm stunned I'll just Defensive leap back to Hloo'jen.

Swap Block for Bodyguard.

Initiative to them! And it's a Refresh.

Altar taps Orthodox Guard this time as the Assassins keep hitting him with light barehanded blows. This is a mistake for Assassin A, who promptly takes a lightsaber through the hand, then through the chest as he misses his roll and takes the penalty of 12 damage.

Assassin B still hits, but only for 4 damage.

Nelgrin takes a heavy overhead swing at you. He taps Focused Blow for its Unstoppable quality, which means his roll ignores the Parry of your Defensive Leap and your energy shield. Your graceful leaps becomes more of a painful tumble as he rolls four successes for 9 damage.

Assassin D gets another smack on Hloo'jen for 4 damage.

Altar played his tap smart and targeted Assassin B with his attack, and rolls successes on every single die! That's a devastating 15 damage to the Assassin... but not quite enough to get rid of him.

Hloo'jen blows his shot as the Assassin tangles with him.

Blah! Damn Nelgrin, he's worse then Hanza I swear.

-

"I've got your back," Wentar says, rushing to Hloo'jen's aid and attacking his opponent.

Tap Orthodox Guard and attack Assassin D, body guarding Hloo'jen.

Oddly enough, Nelgrin is not dissimilar to the Brute! Albeit without access to the Force...

Initiative is yours this time! Altar drives his lightsaber into the remaining assassin without much trouble.

Hloo'jen's blast at the Assassin is not at all impressive, as the Assassin slips past it, but yours is a hit for 12 damage! Could have been better, but you rolled four 3s. Still, significant damage to the Assassin.

Said Assassin decides that you are a better target than Hloo'jen, and tries to punch at you... oops, he doesn't get past your defensive tap. You chop off an arm and kick him to the ground.

Just in time for Nelgrin to come running in! He hefts his hammer high over his head and brings it down directly between you and Hloo'jen. A tap of Power Attack and Assault sees to it that he has the strength behind his swing to get past your defenses, smashing the hammer down on your energy shield.

There is a tremendous bang as Nelgrin's hammer emits a shockwave that knocks you both to the ground, for 10 damage apiece.

----

DEFENSE OF THE SEAT (Skirmish Six), Start of Turn 7

Entrance C

Altar (LS10): 2/26 [OGu BL RF] [FwGu BL] (2F)

Entrance A

Nelgrin (C9): 3(2A)/27 [PA AS DU]

Hloo'jen (G8): 1(1P)/28 [CC ES] (1F) (Knocked back)

Wentar (LS9): 1(1P)/44 [OGu BG RF] [FcGu BL RF] (3F) (Knocked back)

----

Nelgrin immediately refreshes Power Attack with a Fortune point.

That still makes him brutally scary... oh god. That means Nelgrin can take up to 80 damage. He's not even half way!

Since I'm knocked back I have no actions this turn do I?
