The stormtroopers start shooting at the rapidly approaching zombies, but they're not great shots and they only take down the first two through the door. The rest claw through the walls and jump onto the speeder just as the stranger starts the engine.
"Why aren't you shooting like I told you?!" the stranger shouts at you, Rylis.

The first zombie is shot cleanly through the head, and the second merely repelled by your shot.
"That's more like it!" the stranger says. He slams the speeder into gear and jams the accelerator, and the engines whine to life and send the vehicle hurtling out of the alleyway and into the streets.
Zombies are everywhere. The speeder runs a few down.

"Just what the hell happened here?!" she shouts while taking aim and shooting down the zombies.

Unlike your valiant effort to run away, the speeder can outpace those chasing after it. It is the zombies ahead that you keep blasting at; they could potentially jump on.
"The Rolion Plague was unleashed," the stranger says. "It's effects have been catastrophic."
Rhys- you are regaining full consciousness. One of those zombies clocked you pretty good, and your side kind of hurts.

Rhys... you have been bitten. This is bad news, and you have a feeling that anyone you are with won't like it either. With the medkit, you can patch up double your Medicine rating, at least.
The stranger is driving for the edge of the city, Rylis. The cyborg is using the turret on the back of the speeder to good effect, picking off groups of zombies that give chase. The stormtroopers have hunkered down.
"That was close," one of them says.
"You really pissed them off," another says to you, Rylis. "What were you guys doing?"

"One of the loader droids attacked you?" the stormtrooper says. "Impossible. They shut down when the medical center did."
"The undead are everywhere," the cyborg says, simply, before letting off a volley into a group of them coming toward your speeder. He has a talent for heavy weapons, it seems- the zombies are ripped apart by the blast.
"Why were you trying to get in there?" another stormtrooper asks. "Bad idea, if you ask me."

The speeder has come onto a main street and is heading for one of the raised bridges that lead off of the floating city and onto the mainland.

"They don't know because they were stationed on the outskirts," the stranger says. "My large robotic friend and I found them and rescued them."
You notice that the drawbridge is up, Rylis. The stranger has been driving at dangerously high speeds, but slows down as he nears it.
"Bounty huntress, I'm going to let you earn your place in my speeder," the stranger says. "See that shack there? That's where the controls for the drawbridge are. Get the bridge down and raise it once are across. I don't want any of the infected to leave the city."
