Sorry for responding so late, but I'd cream for Dazzler any day if she was in it. Jubilee on the other hand got more useful and ironically stronger when she became powerless. She had cool tech and super strength and flight.
Is it just me, or do the Capcom characters seem really defined and good looking while the Marvel characters seem very choppy and resemble graphics to Killer Instinct?
I guess it's because the game is not yet complete and the characters are not finalized.
Capcom Characters look a lot more polished, Marvel characters still look shiney and not textured fully, but gameplay looks everything weve come to expect from the franchise, damn good.
As a player whom once played the Marvel vs Series competitively and took the time to learn it's depth, complexity to understand why it was such an amazing fighting game, all I can say it, that I'm very disappointed in Capcom at this point.
Talking to Keits who has had direct play with MvC3 at E3 has proven to me how alot of things that I said earlier about MvC3 are now running true!
Firstly, this game seems to border between TvC and slightly with MvC2, however more with TvC which is FAIL, because this is a MvC game, not TvC2, however it looks to be that way. I did say multiple pages back that the limiting of buttons would limit characters, well, it seems to be doing that from what can be shown, we don't know if limited specials are the norm, however with the lower of buttons that is going to happen regardless. However ever noticed how everyone "seems" to fight in the same way thus far with the videos seen in MvC3?
Just take Ryu for example, the only thing he's only really using is Hadouken, and everything else he's basically "rushing" down, however his rushdown seems almost no different from either Chris or Dantes, with the only modifications are that of their character models and hitboxes.
Another stupid implementation is the ability to "counter" air juggles now. So basically if I forced a player to do a mistake, and they get launched for it, there's now a rock/papers/scissors chance of them getting out if they press the right directional button for it...WOW, you serious here Capcom?
Assist are now laughable in my eyes, because they will only do damage to the "Red Part of the Bar", Yes, you heard me correctly, only the red part of the bar. Nope, that's not all of the stupidity that's shown thus far, it has been also confirmed that holding Back+Assist will not cause a Tag Out instead of summoning an Assist.
That is a huge kicker here, because with everyone now having a Dash besides Hulk, and the fact that 8-Way Run/Jumps are now even "faster", this will mean that it will become even more difficult to deal with an offensive rush down tactic now. Because if you are holding back to block...you can't Call out an Assist otherwise you'll tag out if you try to do so...Lmao!
Imagine Magneto being in MvC3, he would have a field day with this option, in fact, look to any fast good rushdown character to have a field day in MvC3, the 8-way Runners will just have more pawn factor thats all.
All I can say is..."I told you so" to Capcom, and to everyone here, given there is still 9 months left until release so they have time to change these things, however I'm calling it now, Marvel vs Capcom 3 will most likely not be as complex, as diverse (meaning character individualism), as strategical, or as great overall as Marvel vs Capcom 2, if you can even call Marvel vs Cacpom 3 its successor that is.
It's been proven and confirmed, as by Keits and a few others who's playing MvC3 at E3 and it has been announced over at Shoryuken.com
Back+Assist ='s Tag Out instead of Assist is confirmed.
Baroque or w/e it's called giving the player easier comebacks is confirmed.
Assist only doing damage to Red Bar instead of actual life bar is confirmed.
Everyone having Airdash besides Hulk is confirmed (Good luck to Hulk, Lmao!).
The only thing that I said which wasn't confirmed was the limited specials, however if you go from MvC2 button lay out to TvC button Lay out, specials for certain characters will be limited or overlapped, which is most likely true anyhow.
So out of the 4 things I spoke of, 3 of them were already confirmed by Keits and other people whom are playing MvC3.
