The main complaints seem to be the character choices for the roster. People seem to have just wanted this to be MVC2.5. Combine someone who just bases everything off a cartoon from the 90s with a narrow mind and there's the problem. They think that only characters THEY'VE been exposed to should be in.
If the Marvel side is really the result of Marvel meddling, then I hope they continue doing it. Because if the general public always had their way, every Marvel game would consist of Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Iceman, Psylocke, Rogue, Gambit, Cable, Nightcrawler, Magneto, Juggernaut, Sabretooth, Spider-man, Venom, Carnage, Deadpool, Cap, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Blade, Punisher, Doom, and the F4. It would just be the same roster over and over and over again. We'd barely get any newcomers and classic characters like Hawkeye, Strange, and Iron Fist never would have gotten a chance to shine.
As for the Capcom side, it would be filled to SF characters, because people don't realize that there's more to Capcom than just that and that they've been in plenty of FG, whereas other Capcom characters don't get many chances to be in a FG. Not to mention they already have a crossover with Tekken coming out. Their excuse is usually "We wouldn't have MVC if it wasn't for SF" or "SF started the vs series so they should have more characters". This doesn't mean that everything time a vs game comes, they should have a bunch of SFer's in our faces.
Well, you sir are a trooper. I can kinda see where you're coming from, but I still think all of this shit should've been included since day one, and re-releases should be in well-priced to free DLC. Some people don't have their mommy or daddy to buy them every Ultra Street Fighter: Who Gives A Shit the Revenge. Though the people who lay down hard earned money because they like it, more power to them, I won't look down on them.
But, how do you explain Capcom trying to get rid of the used game market, I doubt they're doing that because they listen to their fans and want to spoil them.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the complaints of the casuals and I'd feel the same way if I were you guys. I would have loved to get this mass of extras, day one, but I'd be lying if I said I would've waited until November 15, after a decade long wait, rather than get the game I had enjoyed in February and just payed 40$ extra for the update. And a lot of players will tell you that DLC that effects the balance of the game isn't really that great. A character here and there? Fine. But a dozen characters and over one hundred balance changes, all to be downloaded at one time? That's terrible for a competitive fighter that holds about 30% of the hype at EVO. LOL you'd spend more money buying the DLC than you would a new disc release. I should also note that, SF had one disc release update and the rest was DLC, just like everyone whined for......and it was terrible. Also something worth noting, the kids who get their parents to buy them video games aren't playing "Omega Street Fighter Hyper Level IV". Those kids are probably begging mommy and daddy to buy them CoD, MK, GTA, and whatever else is mainstream these days.
And about that save game fiasco, from what was said by CAPUSA's VP, that would not become a common practice and that that was all CAPJP's idea. But maybe I spoke too broadly, what I should have said was, SF and Marvel fans are spoiled, not Capcom fans in general. My mistake.

On another note, Ammy's alt is sick. I'm not entirely sure, but it kind of reminds me of Oki (anyone who's played the game should know who I'm talking about). I'd've pushed for a Shiranui, but whatever.

Capcom's trolled too hard this time.
They give Ammy a Talbian Alt. How weak is that?! Unlike other fighting game fans, people mainly like Darkstalkers because of the awesomeness of their play style, unless you're a Morrigan or Felicia fan.
People demanded Talbain in droves and was the developer's Number 1 pick that didn't make it for MVC3. The guy [Niitsuma] even stated he wanted more Darkstalkers, period. And they do this?! Talbain would have been amazing in this game. This is the worst part, easily, of UMVC3. Makes me sick just thinking about what could have been, with Talbain in this game.
I canceled my preoder for this and switched it to KOFXIII after I saw that.
