I'm one of the few that believes he took the explosion but regardless guggenheim really did starting writing a good Blade towards the end.

Tracks wasn't Spider-Man a vampire in that issue because he was bit on the neck iirc?

And as for the context Tracks left out the part where Blade had alot of his blood drained prior to that fight.

They had given him the drug fang which makes people vampires for a limited time

Are you sure? I remember the vamp kicking the sh!t out of Spider-Man then biting him on the neck but may be wrong. You have any scans?

Also Blade just took out Black Widow in this weeks issue, but was wrecked by Ironman.

characters UBlade has beaten:
Ultimate Cap (there's context though which kinda take away from the win)
Ultimate Stick in Ironman Armor (PIS helped)
Ultimate Tyrone Cash (First Hulk, legit win)
Ultimate Carol Danvers (one-shot)
Ultimate Black Widow

a lot of cat and mouse (Stick being the cat and Blade being the mouse), then when Captain America sent them all to Iran with Perun's hammer, Blade used Stick's initial shock to stab him through the chest.
