I agree that Barda and PG are strongest of the bunch and I probably shouldn't have used both Storm and Sue could do some significant damage and possibly wipe out rest of team.
The birds are rather more polarized- they're mostly street level or slightly above, with those two exceptions (and Alice).
Having just one of them would put them in a very hard fight since that one would have to do the lion's share of the work against the Liberators, and the Birds might need a few more of their other people (like Vixen and Manhunter).
Black Alice can hypothetically draw on someone really powerful like a Marvel or multiple people, but she doesn't like to do that in big fights because the more powerful she has, the more likely it's going to run out mid-fight.
she still has to target, otherwise its gonna be random, and she could get end up getting the powers of a two-bit stage magician with a slight affinity for the real thing

It was early on, but yea, she's been able to pick who she wants for quite awhile. Like when they had to track someone, picking Dr. Occult's powers, which are good for it.
