I think the next iteration of Zelda, they need to have voices. I get removed from the game when the characters talk to you about using the controller by saying, "use the A button for attack".
If they add voices, it should be as part of creating a particular immersive environment. If they can do that, then fine, but I am against adding voices for the sake of it. TOR has done that and they made such a big deal of it, but in the end all they really did was replace text people skip with voices people skip and it has been a great expense that had made little difference to the game.

I totally agree. For a series that tries to immerse you into world and creating visually appealing characters, having no voice overs removes you from any sort of world that the developers are trying to create. As well, the text speed is freaking annoying and I find the dialogue is equally as annoying. So maybe, if the developers want to continue to create dialogue like that, there isn't a reason for voice overs.
But I look at the series Mass Effect, which in my opinion is one of the better created environments (basically it feels like a real universe), where voices overs really helps create it.
Basically, I feel that Nintendo should try to do something different with the series. Having voice overs and how they present the environments could change it enough so people like me would come back to it.
Some of the chances they have made have been excellent.
For instance, the Metroid Prime series, I somewhat remember that people were worried about the first person perspective.
I just feel that Nintendo has some great developers and I want them to do something different with the franchise that I feel is stagnant. I would be very interested in it. I might actually get a Wii U if they do that but if they continue to produce games that are basically the same as the OoT, what's the point.

Most of the puzzles, loads of the gameplay, the way the story is told, the art style, the interaction between characters, the length of the game and sheer bulk of content, the way you travel, the constant action in the overworld where you're constantly solving problems rather than just teleporting and riding from place to place...
Off the top of my head. Lots is new.

Hmmm... I am enjoying playing through, but I am less convinced that it is some novel experience. For example, yes, the puzzles are better than before, but that's still the same formula; just done better. I'll appreciate it for that but I want to keep a sense of perspective about what it is.
