Still wonder how the daughter became master class before Tanaka. Cause I would've figured they both would've been expert class which would've saved her life. Remember Ogata only tried to kill her cause she was another master class fighter coming at him: Dude could use the self defense excuse even though he just got done killing her dad.
But at least he has a conscious and felt bad for killing a baby that couldn't fight back.

exactly. but I guess it makes sense that she is a master class as she is clearly a more talented martial artist than Tanaka (just as is the case with Kenichi and Miu), and not to mention that she must have been training much longer than he was too.
yeah, that's true, but it was mainly because he was a follower of the satsujinken that he really killed her. if not for that, he might have let her live. hell, I bet if he knew of her being pregnant, he would have just KOed her and left her alone.

wow, this last part of the fight was surprisingly gory, at least by the standards of the series anyway. looks like Tanaka is no longer among the living after that last hit.
His effin head exploded!!!! That was awesome! Mad props to Ogata. I still think it was kind of trash that he was pushed to this limit by a guy who probably just obtained master class, but the last few panels were awesome enough for me to forgive it.

looks more to me like he was just taking him simply more seriously. at first when he fought Tanaka, he was taking him more seriousl than Kenichi and the others due to how much stronger Tanaka is than them, but then in the last part of this fight, he decided to just say '**** it' and really took him seriously. and it showed. it really showed.
and on a second look at that last page, he didn't just pop Tanaka's head; it looked like he freaking destroyed his spine too! talk about a brutal way to go!
Damn...well Ogata shows off is awesomeness again. But it would make sense for Ogata to kind of take Tanaka seriously or at least moreso than Kenichi and Ryuto.
But did anyone else think "Fatality" during that last panel.

yeah. while some people may debate whether or not Ogata really is elite master class, they sure can't deny that the guy is willing to fight pretty coldly/brutally.
I thought something more along the lines of 'Brutality!"

well, for one thing Ogata killing Tanaka is a bit of a win for Yami right now if looked at from a certain perspective.
I mean, Alexander Gaider and Diego Carlo are locked up and most likely wouldn't be getting out anytime soon. Akira Hongo is most likely still recovering from his fight with Jenezard and the latter is dead too so the main members of Yami are now reduced to about half of its members as I also recall Agaard going off to Thailand to train his disciple again for god knows howl ong.
now look at the katsujinken side. they've yet to really suffer any actual losses (due to the fact that all of Ryozanpaku are big time main characters and thus they can't lose to members of Yami just yet because if they do, they pretty much die). the closest they ever came to losing a 'member' so to speak was Apachai nearly dying. though Tanaka was naturally wandering that borderline between katsujinken and satsujinken, it was clear that he was a death seeker to an extent. nonetheless, he was still more or less on Ryozanpaku's side and now he's deader than dead.
and of course the remaining members of Yami are seemingly stronger/more skilled/more determined than the ones defeated so far (Saiga in particular. seriously, dude is beast) so any fights in the future against Ryozanpaku are going to have to start ending in some deaths on the good guy side.
@danteiscool - your right that Yami benefits from Tanaka death, because that guy got in their way many times, but ya, his death was pretty nasty, but for some reason I don't care for him. Kenchi learning something is nice, let hope he doesn't forget it. Tanaka is like a future Kenchi who went the way path.
I know some big events happened this chapter but is anyone else concerned with the fact that the entire Amusment Park is on fire? I'm not an expert on Japanese culture, I also might've forgot some details in past chapters, but where the hell are the firefighters and authorities or new channels or anything? Seriously are flaming parks normal or something.
The Ryo masters don't necessarily have to die, they could be crippled. Like how Saiga took out Takeda's master's eye and leg.
And yes Berserker did.
Also, dude needs to ****ing calm down with all the friggin' fanservice. Scenes that he intends to be tense are impossible to view as such when I have Renka's ass and vag and Miu's boobs in my face every page.
I think fanservice from a fanservicey manga is okay in large doses as long as it is toned down for the more serious moments like you suggest. It certainly does detract from the situation.
But Tanaka's death battle was almost ruined by every other page randomly splotching Miu's T&C onto it, as if apologizing for daring to go a page without boobage.

I noticed that too. Though now for at least the next few chapters (provided the females get into more sudden fights), we should be able to go without an overload of fanservice as they all deal with the aftermath of this battle.
and while the katsujinken side could be crippled, that's if they go up against guys like Saiga who only seems to kill when it can't be avoided. everyone else from Yami and the satsujinken side are gonna be out to kill them. only way I see them coming out crippled is if they take a serious hit before winning a battle or retreat for one reason or another.

... you know, I'm in the same boat as you AuraAngel. Ogata just keeps on surprising us to say nothing else. and I'm beginning to like Rimi more than Miu too, though I can tell that the tension between them from their battles is now most likely going to return as some sort of comedic thing.
