[SPOILER - highlight to read]: Except Booker didn't actually die, as the post-credits sting reveals. Plus with his self-loathing I doubt it was that hard of a sacrifice to make. I do understand the difference though, I still just don't like it.
Of course I knew. I had a lot of the plot spoiled for me when my computer wasn't able to play games, so I didn't think I'd ever be able to play Infinite. Even If I hadn't flat out read it, I've seen enough porn of them with the 'incest' tag to make it pretty obvious.
So... About Burial at Sea... Is it just me or did those DLC's completely destroy the base game?
There are either some heavy heavy plot inconsistencies or I have MASSIVELY misunderstood how the base game ended. Anyone else having trouble with this? And if not, can you run me through the base game ending and how the DLCs make sense?
So how does [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Comstock survive when they were suppose to all be whipped out at the end of the first game. How does Elizabeth go back to Columbia when it's no longer suppose to exist because it, along with comstock, was erased from the time line at the end of the game. Why does Elizabeth loose all her powers when she goes back to a world she dies in when the lutesse twins do it constantly. For that matter, how did Elizabeth survive dying in the first place? Does she just reset back in the door world when she dies, because that was never specified as far as I can tell. If she could see all the doors, and thus the future, how did she not know the Big Daddy was going to kill her?
Wait, so I thought of another thing I'm confused about.
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: In episode 2 Elizabeth goes back to Columbia, like I pointed out before. But besides the fact that Columbia shouldn't exist, it brings with it another thing that shouldn't exist. Comstock. If the events of the base game are still playing out, then that means that the Comstock from the base game is still kicking around stealing babies. So the Comstock from episode 1 isn't the last Comstock, or an anomalous Comstock. There is at least one more Comstock, and if THAT Comstock is perfectly fine, then there must still be millions of Comstocks unaffected by the ending. So what exactly did the ending even do? Did it even erase ONE Comstock?
Every place I've seen talk about the dlc's has never talked about these problems. I'm not so full of myself that I think I'm apparently the only person who see's these flaws, so I'm open to the idea that I must be the one in the wrong here. That being said, I'd still like these "problems" explained to me.
Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it. Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.
