Yep, and I didn't play the demo as much as I did because of how "downhill" the main series is going. Most (if not all) that mentioned stuff about Capcom is old news as well.
If RE gets to the point in the future of not changing up all its shit anymore than CoD does or something then I'll when to stop with it, but RE6's gameplay and mechanics are too big a change from RE4/RE5's (and IMO in a good way for the most part) for me not to get it.
Just from the demo, not the full game but Dead Space series has clearly taken over as the 3rd person horror franchise.
It's disgusting, spooky, frightening and action is done extremely well. Doesn't help that it has top notch visuals and sound. I also enjoy the simplified story it is and not the convoluted story RE series does.
Ill definitely play RE6 but I'm not in a huge rush to play it. I think I will just rent it when I start using a rental service.
If this news is worth not supporting Capcom out of protest, than you should just not buy games at all. The majority of AAA games are going this route, and pretty soon, as the game industry becomes more and more of a business envrioment, all games will be made in this manner, sans indie games. It's just a fact of life. Yay capitalism.

So i played through the first 2 chapters of Leon and it's geat. It really has that scary feeling again (especially when playing alone).
Lighting strikes down and blinds you and BAM there's a goddamn zombie in front of you.
The beginning sucks though, it's 15 min of just wandering around but when you shoot your first zombie the intense gameplay begins. When in the city, cars just come crashing around every corner, i got killed by a freakin ambulance who came at great speed out of nowhere. In the sewers you also get that scary intense feeling and BAM train from out of nowhere while fighting with zombies.
The creature design is also great, with a wide array of them. The screamer creature sounds really nasty.
The biggest flaw here is that one moment you can have a super intense cool scene and the next it's just boring compared to other stuff. So it definatly has its ups and down.
I already think the Leon chapters will be the best so start with that (YOu get the option of starting with leon Jake of chris so it's up to you but i would pick Leon)
Not as superhuman as his father though I'd say like in terms of speed, and nothing beats the more convenient way in which you were able to do cobra strike as Wesker. Jake's dash still gets the job done if used right though. Makes me wonder what it would've been like more if you had the whole stamina system and whatnot when using Wesker in the last game. I'm sure his dash would've just used up some stamina rather than health.
Aside from that, Chris got a whole lot of buffs with his moves in RE6. I'm sure Jill and her moves would be a lot more useable under this game's mechanics as well. With the whole stamina thing and getting extra stuff or enhanced abilities with your skill points, there's a lot of shit you can do with any character now, which the demo hardly scratched the surface of. I love it.
It can have a scary feeling even when playing co-op with someone. Take it from me and Nemesis X.
Other than that I agree on what you've said so far, and we're on the last chapter of Leon's campaign now (on veteran since professional would be suicide first playthrough), which will be done tomorrow. Regardless of which campaign anyone thinks they'll like best though, I would still say just do them in the listed order (Leon's, Chris's, then Jake's, followed by Ada's which is mostly solo). It seems to be the most fitting order for the game regardless of what one's favorite characters are out of those.
Leon's campaign is all over the place. Beneath the cathedral was kinda boring with the exception of the boss fights. The graveyard was scary though.
END SPOILERS
And jezus christ i just CAN'T play co-op because i have an average size tv so i can't see shit with these split screens. It's not even split screen, you get like 2/3 of half a screen
I liked beneath the cathedral. It reminded me of certain areas in RE2 and 4. I liked all the experiments in captivity that got released if you messed up too. That entire area was great. Actually, pretty much everywhere in Leon's first two chapters has been very memorable.
Chris' campaign has been fun, but the areas he explores are a lot less memorable.
Haha, I'm kind of in the same boat there, more or less. And after playing Chris's campaign he did show a lot of character development surprisingly, compared to before anyway.
Chris was mostly in China, which has probably my favorite areas of the game so far ([SPOILER - highlight to read]: especially during the vehicle-related segments, with the exception of his chapter 2 which was [SPOILER - highlight to read]: a flashback of when Finn and his men were still alive at first.
So far,
Melee level 2
Item Drop Increase
Defense level 1
But of course since there's an achievement/trophy for getting all the level-related skills maxed out, I'll have a lot of saving up to do, in addition to getting infinite ammo for some of the weapons when eventually playing professional which requires a mad amount of skill points as well. I know I'll probably try to get either melee or defense maxed out first.
Just finished Jake's campaign gonna start Leon next...
Jake is a beast I liked how he [SPOILER - highlight to read]: put up a good fight in h2h against Ustanak and his last blow sent the beast flying
So is there any infinite ammo mode? How can I unlock more weapons?I only got like 1 from each type....
