You flip them on.
The spacious room you illuminate is about four stories in height. Each level has cells lining the side and far walls of the room, adding up to a few hundred. The center of the square room is dominated by walkways that lead to the only lift in the room. The walkways themselves have square frames around them every five feet. More laser grids, currently offline.
Oh, and you are completely surrounded by prisoners armed with assortments of jury-rigged shanks and bludgeons, having lain in wait near where you came out on the highest level. They all appear crazed, pale, and hungry... the majority of them are starved and rabid.
There is a handful of these prisoners standing before the lift with blasters, which now opens to reveal the horrifically scarred and ragged Borm.
"Welcome, Jedi," Borm hisses.

Rianna wastes no time in igniting her lightsaber, disliking this situation a great deal and cursing the Dark Side for keeping her from sensing this.
"Call off your minions...they are not so sturdy as you are," she says, glancing around her.

"You are outnumbered," Borm rasps.
On that count, he is right. There are only six goons with blasters by the lift, but there are about forty prisoners armed with makeshift melee things edging toward you.
"I just have to say when," Borm rasps again, "and then you diiie..."

"Fall back to the door," she says quietly to the gunmen. "We can keep them from attacking at once and thin them out."

"I sense your feeear..." Borm hisses as you step back. "It is strong, Jedi. Untamed."

"Shut up," Rianna snaps in response, glaring at Borm but keeping an eye on the prisoners.
"If any of them move, shoot them," she says to the gunmen.

None of them move... but Borm stretches his hands outwards and you sense a surge of pain emanating from him, and immense hatred... and the corridor begins to buckle around you.

"Shoot him!" Rianna shouts. Not expecting the gunmen to really have much effect, though, and knowing that she can't exactly protect them all that well, she races at Borm, slicing at him with her lightsaber.

This is a rather spectacular scene. As Rianna belts for the narrow walkway toward the Dark Sider, blurring as she taps into the Force, the prisoners begin to close in on either side. The blaster-armed thugs take aim, and Borm is preparing to meet your charge...
One of the hitmen that came with you opens fire on the blaster-armed thugs. Two shots ring out and zip past you for two very dead thugs.
A third shot rings out... as your second hitman fires his blaster into the security controls.
The lights go out completely... but the security gates malfunction and begin flickering on and off, providing a dim red, flashing light throughout the room. Barely enough to see by, and you have to stop your charge to prevent yourself from running into one of the energy walls!
The blasterfire coming your way fizzles against it and Borm's Bombard is negated as the sheet metal he pried from the floor vaporizes. The hitmen are, for the moment, isolated from the charging prisoners.

Nope! All are held back by the energy gates. Some in other parts of the prison are already flickering on and off, but those by you are staying on for the moment.

You could jump over, around, under... Kara Katai would have a field day with this, but yes, only someone with Jedi agility could get around these gates. They just keep you from walking past them.
