Because Doom in his Destroyer Armor had reserves inside his castle.
When they were destroyed the armor became useless. All Doom needed was a few more hours.
Does this fight happen during the instance when the Asgardians attacked his fortress? or afterwards because the difference is huge.
If any of the armors can reach the powersource of the newly created Destroyer armor then Doom is stuck inside a useless armor while Tony returns for a beatdown.
Then it's a different fight.
If Doom can solidify his powersource he wins.
If the different Ironman armors reach the source of power it's down.
Any of those armors would have no problem reaching inside the castle and destroying the containment chambers IMO if Tony was there instead of Thor.

Doom destroyer was a few nothes under the standard destroyer. Reg. DEstroyermanhandle Thor were hasd doom destroyer Thor was outclass yes but still able to fight back.
Thorbuster iron took on King Thor and did pretty good imo and kingThor is by far wtronger then doom destroyer and even more powerful classic destoyer
Thor flat out beat Doom's Destroyer. It had nothing to do with losing power. The armor had enough power for that fight all the way till then end. There wasn't a moment where the fight tilted due to being out of power.
Um it was activated prematurely. They even used that as a caveat as to why Thor beat doom in the issue saying that the armor wasn't ready.

Thor said himself that the "well had now run dry". And the fight went the other direction. Thor was getting slammed. Then Thor tore the armor apart when the containment tanks were destroyed.
