If Thanos were faster than Frieza (whose combat speed is more impressive than most comic book characters, excluding the likes of Flash), he would never get hit by Gamora, Spider-Man, Thor, Wolverine... the list goes on.

It's ridiculous to think he'd keep up with Frieza in combat.

we both know that's a poor example. stick out tongue

the speed is seriously not a debate...frieza outclasses thanos BAD

unless YOU care to show me evidence that Thanos COULD match such insane speed
Wolverine does the moving sater than the eye can see all the time.

ok...you're just trolling at this point.

if you think wolverine can appoximate dbz fighting speed, then seriously, there's really no point in further discussion.

No I'm not What looks more impressive is NOT a valid argument. In fact it a violation of the forum's rules.

quote:
No Bias Claims
"Batman can beat Thor because he's cooler!" That's an example of how not to debate. We would like to see the rationale behind any claims that one character can beat the other rather than a claim based on popularity and subjective bias.
Also, we insist that all claims be backed up by evidence from canon sources. If you claim that Spiderman is stronger than Superman, then you have to prove it.

"Freeza can beat thanos because he's cooler."
"Freeza moves faster because he looks cooler."
"Freeza moves faster because he looks more impressive."

NOT valid.

Apparently you don't.

Or wait.. its the laws of actual physics that you fail hard at.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

If you are flying at somwething at light speed, then that this is flying at you at light speed.

If Butter's reflexes had not been comparible to his flight speed he wouldn't have been able to react in time to grab the ball, he would have overshot it and his delayed reaction would have resulted in him missing the Dragonball.

But hey, you desperatly need reflex speed and flight speed to be drastically different despite using reflexive speed to not crash into things while flying at superliminel velocities.

But hey lets just ignore anything that doesn't agree with us and then ignore everything else to justify our ignorance...

Lol... your argument fails again. Surfer has flown trillions of light years in a second, passing galaxies like a cool breeze but he haven't shown 1 legit speed feat REFLEX wise to suggest that he can move his limbs that fast.

Gladiator has flown 100 times the speed of light and haven't shown anything REFLEX wise suggesting that he can move his limbs that fast.

Magneto has flown 99% the speed of light and haven't shown one showing that he can move his limbs this fast.

Ironman has flown the speed of light (made it to the sun in seconds) and doesn't have one showing where he moves his limbs that fast.

Your debating style is weird. Reflexes doesn't equal flight speed.

LULz What?!

That's not even remotely comparable to what I'm saying....

If you know how far a mile is, you can easily determine how far 50 miles are.

That's all anyone's saying about Frieza...

Look if you knew Thanos could do something very impressive, and knew he was using less than 1% of his power, then you know that he can achieve a more impressive feat by about 100X of what he already did...

We don't have to prove Thanos power level... I don't know where you're getting that from or what you think it contributes to this thread, but it's ridiculous.

I can't tell if you're being dense on purpose and just arguing this point for the sake of it, but I really am not seeing HOW Power Levels can't be used to determine a supposed level of force for a DBZ character who is MEASURED using Power Levels.

I also don't think specific power levels are even a pillar of ANYONE'S argument in this thread.... Which really ends up making this argument look like one big red herring. confused

We're arguing percentages of power being used by Frieza more than anything... don't tell me we can't apply percentages to Thanos now. no expression

Using power levels just compounds on the already built argument for Frieza's power.

Your logic is flawed.

The ability to make course corrections at high speeds (as ludicrous as your examples were), would indicate that the character possesses something akin to enhanced reflexes. They may not be as fast as their travel speed, but to assume they don't exist is, well, lunacy imo.

And your comprehension is more limited that the limits of being allowed to debate should entail.

That's what happens when you mention power levels in a fight with a non-dbz character.

I agree, I never said that they didn't have enhanced reflexes but what I am saying is that neither of the peeps that I have named showed anywhere close to the reflexes that their flight speed.

Unless you can show and prove that each of these peeps have that type of reflex speed (you will never find it).

Just because someone can fly fast doesn't mean tha their punching speed is the same.

I've seen you argue for Gladiator and Magneto in other threads.

Also, Norrin does have feats. While I don't consider them to be Superman level or amount, they are there, and they are comparable.

And you prove my point about you not understanding some of the more simple laws of physics.

Good luck at course correction while being faster than the light that shows you what will hit you smile in the end it's comics and how do you wanna solve the travelling prob from galaxy to galaxy without simply ignoring it or turning everyone into a teleporter?

Seriously I thought it was clear for all threads that Travelling Speed≠ Fighting Speed.

I don't buy that anyone has FTL fighting speed unless it's clearly stated or the character blitzed someone who is pretty fast himself (the latter still wouldn't garanty it's FTL fighting speed).

No....

No one is measuring the power level of a character to the non existant power level of Thanos...

That's not what's happening.

Power Levels are a measurement of approximate power for DBZ characters and it's only being applied to DBZ characters to determine their abilities....

Just because it's not a measurement that translates over to Thanos using reverse engineering doesn't mean it won't contribute anything to the debate.
