I'm not nterested in it
Zelda kinda died for me after Ocarina, everything else was just... not good, I barely tolerated Majora, and Wind Waker was... it gives me headache to think of that game, hated the art direction and endless blue ocean masquerading the lack of content . I never bother with Twilight Princess for more than 5 minutes... guess I was just bitter.
The last one/s I enjoyed were Season/Ages, I guess I prefer a 2D Zelda any time, Ocarina notwithstanding
I'm not saying it doesn't look good, surely it will be the last great Wii game, but I doubt I'll pick it up.
A new SW Rogue game will be killer, especially with current graphics

Eh, I understand more or less. Particularly agree on the part about Wind Waker as far as the art style. Not to say it was bad though; just wasn't my thing compared to OoT's style and whatnot. Seems a lot of people never bothered to finish TP, which I didn't get. I mean it wasn't that bad...
About SW Rogue Squadron though, yeah. It was cool how the 3rd game, Rogue Leader, had local co-op using levels from the 2nd game Rogue Leader (was my first favorite co-op experience when I had friends over for that game). If a Rogue Squadron 4 has online co-op, it'll probably become one of my favorite current co-op experiences, playing together with numerous people as a team of X-Wings infiltrating the Death Star and all that.
The Wii U (terrible name) it's a new home console with a new controller
(please log in to view the image)
the controller is on the left, the console on the right side
the controller looks like a tablet with buttons, and you don't need a TV to play because the screen in the controller serves as a display when there's no TV
The controller still needs the console to function as it's just an streaming device, the software as well as the hardware to play are housed within the console.
Nintendo did a poor job at explaining this. Lots of people were confused
BTW: you still can use up to 4 Wii-motes to play with the Wii2, but only one handheld tablet WiiU controller is supported... so far
Also it's backwards compatible with all Wii software and peripherals (Wii-Fit Board, etc)
I'm don't play much online, but that would be sweet. I hope the franchise returns, It was a great Nintendo exclusive

Surprised Apple haven't filed a patent for using 'white colored hardware' or something stupid Actually I'm surprised Apple haven't entered console development...that would be interesting.
But, you see, that's my problem: they are not the same and you definitely can't relagate the Kinect to "just a motion control device." That's just silly.
Since I've said my piece, there's no reason to continue: anyone who calls Kinnect a "simple motion control device" is clueless, hates MS, and/or trolling.
Edit - To bring it more on topic...the new Nintendo Wii U controller is just a crappy slate.

That's where I was going, seems like it would be right up Apple's marketing alley. The Wii is something that seems like it would have come straight from Apple, slap in the App store and boom, they would have dominated the casual console market.

While also creating a rabid massive cult following. They would have dominated. Nintendo is too stubborn. They keep refusing to make apps for the appstore.
I doubt Apple is interested in gaming, I mean sure they could provide the hardware, but they don't seem to care much about software to go along with that, The Ipod/Ipad already got it's full share of gaming done by other people, and since Tablets are primarily used for gaming, I don't see that changing anytime soon.
they could take Nintendo by the balls though, if they change their mind. They got such cult drone following they'd buy anything Apple, even if they don't need it
But they're too busy churning out hardware like twice a year, they got their hands full counting money

I actually don't see a difference between making the hardware and others making games for that hardware...with an iPad, iPhone, iPod...etc.
And then doing the same exact thing for a home console. They wouldn't even have to change how they do things: third parties submit "apps" for approval and then they "publish" them to the appstore. Except..it's for a home console.
I did type out a reply (it didn't take but 5 mins. No joke) to the EyeToy thing. But edited it out. Ushgarak wouldn't shit up one of my threads with a tangent conversation, so why should I? If you're interested, I can PM it to you.
But, back to the Apple thing: why WOULD Apple not try and get down on some of that? Well...they HAVE!
No thanks, PM it if you like , but I have no interest in continue a pointless debate, not when you can't accept Kinect to be a Motion control device when everyone else knows that's what it is. We will never agree on anything regarding that issue.
About Apple: why would they?, they already have a platform (iOS) that's single-handedly dominating a market of their creation.
Creating a Console and have it work just like the iDevices do would be redundant.
iOS gaming is relatively inexpensive to make and provides quicker revenue for developers. Console gaming is much expensive, takes time to develop, The jump between PS2era and PS360 gaming was hard for most developers (if they want a quality product)
The Pippin was a epic failure, but even then they weren't interested in being Manufacturers.
I'm not saying the should not, cannot or they will not. I reckon it's not interest atm.
Edit: Now if they ever do, I agree it could be a fast success, seeing how they can churn hardware left and right and people still buy and hold it like the holy grail... until the next yearly iteration comes out

I accept your argumentum ad populum fallacy and, by default, your concession.
That's a whole lot of words just to agree with me. My last words were "they HAVE!"
Cause they did create their own "console" in the exact same way I said they could: make the hardware and OS...third parties make shit tons of games for it.
theyre gonna make a killing of the ps3 and 360. proper rendering of material at 1080p, 60 hertz and 3d. the hardware in the wii u is MUCH stronger than the 360 and ps3 with motion control and exclusives. whats not to like
