Classic? Has he really been around so long now there is a "classic" version of him? Really? What changed?

He lost Ophidian (the Avarice counterpart to Ion) and is overall more portrayed as an equivalnt to Hal and the other top Lanterns instead of a Skyfather level threat when he took on the Controllers or the Guardians.
