After Amiid scans his hand, there is a hiss as hydraulics pull the wall before you inward, and then it slides up and away. This reveals a short corridor beyond, with a blast door at the end.
Amiid swipes his keycard and scans his eyes, this time. This blast door pulls inward and then drops downward.
There is a third door, but it is not armor-plated or anything particularly defensive. It is a set of doors that open inward, carved from a dark wood and inlaid with a silver filigree.
The title 'CHAIRMAN' is imprinted on the door in Aurabesh, the Galactic Standard alphabet.

Amiid simply knocks on the door. A woman's voice says "Come in" and the security chief opens the office.
The door swings into a spacious flat that lacks the hallways' sterile quality. It is more inviting, with patterned dark gray carpeting and polished metal bookshelves, a set of high-backed chairs by a low obsidian table, an ornate liquor cabinet with glass-cut tumblers sitting atop it.
The far wall gives a view of the industrialized landscape of Davashad, with plumes of polluting smoke billowing across the rustic sky. A desk that matches the lounge table's obsidian color, flat and sleek and simple, sits before the window. A high-backed chair faces the view, behind the desk.
"Chairman Valnez," Captain Amiid says. "I've brought the intruders."
A woman's voice comes from the chair.
"They're not intruders, Captain."

"I should think not," Rand says in response to Captain Amiid's comment. "We come here in pursuit of justice, not to interrupt your operations on Davashad or cause trouble."
Rand will focus his attention on the desk and chair now, waiting for the Chairman to turn and face him.
"Chairman Valnez," Rand says, "I am Jedi Master Nume Rand, of the Jedi Order. I am hoping I can find an ally in you."

The Chairman's seat slowly swivels about to face you. The woman seated within the high-backed chair is an older woman in a neatly-pressed suit jacket and dress, her dark hair up in a bun. She is portrayed by Cristine Rose (which you may remember as Angela from Heroes).
"Master Rand," Vikka Valnez says, with a soft smile. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am not one to bar an investigation, if you truly feel that you've come to the right place. You DO feel that way, do you not?"

"I do, Chairman," Rand says respectfully. "I placed a homing beacon on the ship of the fleeing suspect, and followed him to this system. Davashad was the most likely location for him to have fled to."
Rand decides not to get all 'The Force told me' with this. He doesn't expect some unextraordinary businesswoman to understand that aspect of his hunt.

Rand is not sure how to respond because he did not go off more than that, aside from his senses.
"As a Jedi Master, I have certain intuitions about these things," Rand says. "I would not trouble you if I was not certain he was hiding here."
