Yeah, the VS mechs from Lost Planet were the first things I thought of as far as what the Mantis should play like, as opposed to a Gears Silverback which is apparently the case. Not that it's bad, but from Halo I expected a little better. The worst thing I found about the Silverback honestly (in Gears 3 at least) was it being a ***** of a grindfest to upgrade in Horde just for it to have rockets, and even then, it still felt like a poor man's VS for the most part IMO.

So how is the single player gameplay when compared to the previous games? From the look of what I've seen so far it looks a lot more exploration based, does that hold true? How's the enemy AI?
More atmospheric and with scripted events that showcase Master Chief's physicality. It felt like it would shit all over the previous Halo campaigns. The first time I stepped into the forerunner planet it felt like Halo:CE's Halo level and MP's planet.

Gender: Female Location: The Land Beyond what Time can Touch
The Female Spartan part scares me. I didn't like the balance in appearance for Spartan-III's in Halo: Reach. From what I've seen for Halo 4 (and I've been searching a lot) it looks like the Spartan-IV Female version will look pretty good, so long as you find a helmet to fit that special look you're going for.
On another note. Spartan Ops. A new idea, I don't know how to feel about it yet. To me, it feels like bringing story-mode to firefight. Which would be nice. I didn't like how pointless firefight felt in Reach.
Finally, Spartan-IVs. My friend says that they're supposed to be the true successor to the Spartan-II Project. Maybe not much better, but still better. Trying to investigate it without spoiling the game. I don't like how I already know part of what's going to happen to Cortana. Anyone know anything about the Spartan-IV Project vs. Spartan-II Project?

Yeah, I felt that way about all the male Spartans having massive arms.

Everything on the body is exaggerated on the armor.
