Aaaaaaaand Walter is listed as stronger in the Marvel Handbooks too. So no Thing is not stronger.
EDIT: Further support here is a pissed Walter fighting Exo-Suit Thing which as said was nearly equal to his regular form....wasn't even close.
After being controlled by Headlok, he makes Sasquatch slip into a blind furry attacking Ben, who at the time was wearing his exo-suit. Mr. Fantastic made to "restore most of the strength he used to possess" and "nearly as powerful as before". Sasquatch dominates him, even stopping Ben from even landing one hit. Headlok also mentions Sasquatch's power increase when he becomes angry "I feel Sasquatch's physical surge".
Walter has dynamic strength meaning he can amp his strength while Thing can't. Also the Infinity Cruscade scan is old too and Thing being much stronger then Sasquatch? yeah no. Recent handbooks even list Walter as being stronger even in his base form AND can amp his strength further.
Hell even Exiles Sasquatch fought 616 Thing not that long ago and she was getting the better of him TWICE and she isnt as strong as 616 Sasquatch. They even did a test of strength and Thing's hide started to crack so he kicked her in the gut to stop it.

spikey thing was quite a bit stronger than reg ben though. while i might gtake sas for a majority against normal ben, i'd take spikey thing here. and i have no idea why sas is such a confusing character. had/has lots of potential. someone needs to do something very cool with him....
Thing seems to have a healing factor because he had piece of his cut off and it healed. He took a bad beating from Gladiator and he was good as new after a short nap.
