depends on whose interpretation of chi/ki. Whiles its almost always the lifeforce within everything in some universes its considered mystical and some heavenly energy held within the spriti making it more of a magic/divine attack. Others it's just general non elemental energy attack.
It was published as a comic and sold like a comic as well. Superman got two pieced by a holding back Super Saiyan. It would happen like that foreal to any Herald and Thanos as well.
Yes by a magazine which ranked Wolverine as the top comic character and thought that Iron man would win against Hal jordan. No wonder it is no longer in publication.
Chi does affect Superman. Lex Luthor tried to use it to kill Superman. In several The Question Comic Issues #2-6 where the Science Spire was present "The Devil's in the Details", Lex had a Building called the science spire built to harness chi energy and shoot it upwards like a laser. While the energy will not harm any human being, the same cannot be said for Superman who is a foreign entity on Earth and could be killed by the energy. While magic ignores Superman's invulnerability since his planet has never seen magic energy and magic is a blind spot in his defense, Chi energy is super effective against Aliens and beings powered by energy outside of the Planet's lifeforce like solar energy based Biomatrix force fields like Superman's. Chi is not only Superman's weakness, but other alien being's weakness as well. That only applies to Chi Energy in the DC universe. The same cannot be held if there were some kind of crossover.

Chi won't affect him like "magic", as the chi is in every one. It is more like the Force from Star Wars.
Superman beat Goku in the Death Battle which made Goku far more powerful than he is. All in all at his best Goku is a mid Herald at best. His energy output is High Herald while his physical attributes are more in the high meta, maybe he taps into low herald but that is rare. He struggles to lift a small part of a city.
He would get owned by any mid to high herald rather easily.

Uh, no, base Vegetto solo's all non-abstracts in DC. Easily.
Anyway, ki actually DOES affect Superman. Not the same way as magic does though. It is a very powerful instrument, that the Karate kid used to amplify his punches, to bypass Superman's invulnerability. In DC, ki is the equivalent of another force called, "Quantum energy", which is the primary energy source used by the Monarch. The Monarch used his quantum energy/ki/chi to fight on par with an amped Superboy Prime, and even blew up the universe to try and kill him. Quantum energy also gives the users very similar abilities to ki, such as physical amplification, speed amplification, flight, durability amplification, energy projection, TK, etc.
Although Superboy Prime fought on par with a universal level quantum energy/ki/chi user, he is MUCH less vulnerable to quantum energy than Superman ever has been. Same with kryptonite, red solar energy, etc. Superman was physically hurt by blows from Karate kid, albeit not severely. Karate kid was essentially a regular human, definitely incapable of Z-fighter ki feats, such as planet, solar system, galaxy, and even universe busting.

Chi attacks, from a MA like IF, should at least be felt by Supes. High level MAs can blur the line with the mystical.
There are places where the cross.
A great example has been in Spider-man Web Warriors of all places, where the very mystical Dr. Strange and Iron Fist pass each other on the astral plane.
