When the Director said this season would tie-into Asylum, I figured any links(aside from Pepper) would be rather subtle. Boy, was I wrong... They practically waved a neon flag in front of us that said: "Freak Show is a direct precursor to Asylum." Didn't expect that.

Anywho, I dug seeing Briarcliff Manor and Sister Mary Eunice again. thumb up

Sister is having me start watching this show, and specifically wanted to watch Asylum with me. Seen the first two episodes.

It's all right so far. Dr. Arden is clearly the best character and a role-model for children.

Eh, doesn't really matter. You can watch all the seasons separately with no problem at all. And Asylum is pretty good, anyways.

This show almost made me throw-up, its cringe-worthy. When I think horror, I'm thinking... HORROR. Scary stuff, maybe a few jumpscares even, creepy music, creepy characters. Not a creepy environment. "Oh, look, we live on a circus cuz were freakshows and thats scary". Gimme a break .-.

If you want scary than Asylum is probably the way to go.

The show in general is mixing horror with good storytelling so it's not like a horror movie.

Well, it looks like "The Axeman" from last season might be featured in the next episode. If so, 3 seasons(ie. Asylum, Coven, and Freak Show) will now be tied together...

I know, I can't wait to see him. He was awesome in Coven.

Last episode was pretty good. [SPOILER - highlight to read]: I knew Dell was going to die when Desiree had the gun on him. It was kind of sad..

So it wasn't "The Axeman". However, it was cool to see [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Asylum's Doctor Grouper/Arden featured in a flashback. thumb up

Also, Neil Patrick Harris played a great nutjob. thumb up x2

That episode was REALLY good. There's so many crazy/awesome things that happened.

And yeah, NPH did do a great job.

Next week is the season finale? Damn, it seems like there are still a lot of loose ends to tidy up in one episode...

It seemed like they tried their best to tie up a lot of loose ends this episode. [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Maggie, Chester, big-dick dude, Elsa (kind of). And then last episode Pepper and Dell.

Great finale. thumb up

I still enjoyed Coven more as a whole, but this season ended up being a lot better than I expected.
