One issue I have with the "planet" busting feat by Gladiator is that God only knows how many punches it took him to bust that rock.

Sure, many would argue that they count only 3 or so punches, but this is comics, and many things take place off panel.

Excuses.

Thor doesn't have to be ftl to react to ftl moves. Just close to them and able to perceive them.

Anyone who's played sports and stopped a ball or puck has shown reaction speed to things moving dozens of mph even though they can't run that fast.

It's still fast reactions either way.
On the other hand catching something moving at the speed of a bullet is not like that. On Mythbusters I think they couldn't even move the short distance of closing their mouth anywhere near fast enough to beat a bullet fired from a distance.

So it comes down to the magnitude of the speed difference. Thor is fast, but I don't think he's even classic Quicksilver fast. Gladiator on the other hand has been shown to be extremely fast, as in Superman type hyper-speed. And if he really can approach FTL speeds Thor would have serious trouble.

Not saying Gladiator necessarily wins, but Gladiator not using his speed much in fights against Thor, Hulk etc always seemed strange to me (the only time I remember him really using it was to match Thor when Thor and the FF had already been accelerated to hyper speeds).

One story I thought was interesting with these types of characters was the old AWC annual in Death's realm. Wonder Man was beating on Thor quite well HTH until Thor resorted to blasting him with his hammer. But shortly after when Wonder Man fought Hyperion, Hyperion totally wrecked him with super speed and flight, even though he probably wasn't stronger.

Plus, it doesn't matter about speed because Gladiator has Thor's speed.

He has, it's just never amounted to much besides the one time Thor was protecting that girl.

Different writers. Englehart had a very high opinion of Wonder Man, Simon was probably even stronger than an average Thor in his opinion, while DeFalco like every other writer before and after believed the Odinson was stronger any day of the week.

He was the one who had Hyperion beat Wonder Man into the ground, and Gladiator did the same under his pen. Both were clearly stronger than Simon, while even Masterson Thor would be their equal.

Rage has stomped you so many times its not even funny. Yet you insist on taking on him, why? Is getting stomped by PR or Rage has become your addiction? It's like this: you start something, paul or rage come in and stomp your argument, you lie dormant for some time and start something again, rinse and repeat. Why don't you quit while you are ahead?

You must didn't see the Masterson vs Gladiator fight because if you did, you would have known Masterson was on the loosing end of that fight.

Rage fussed at himself. I wish you all stop bringing up that thread "because I didn't participate in it". I gave Rage a date on the battlezone and he ignored it so I didn't waste my time responding in the thread.

I didn't make the battle zone, it was PG.

A month of preparation wouldn't have done anything for you, and stalling wouldn't have spared you. Whatever, if you want, we can still have the discussion, just PM whenever you're ready.

errr...you find that funny?

I'm sorry, but you only seem to do well in debates when you have the thor-corps chime in and back you up.

In our one on one debates in the past (ie hulk vs thor, and juggs vs thor) I've personally exposed your foolish (or naive) stances quite a few times...which were later also backed up by comic books. So I actually think that if you and carver do a bz, carver has a good shot of winning the debate.

Rage can't handle me. Every time he debates against me, he goes into a berserker, cussing rage.

This happens in regular threads, imagine how he would act if I am stomping him in a battlezone.
