I knew what you meant. I was just saying that the first fight's epicness set up the 2nd fight to fail because they didn't match their abilities. It would have been better if Bane was still all over the place and Batman learned his patterns or something to overcome him and make a vital strike to the mask. Instead, Bane essentially let Batman throw wild haymakers that landed, which would have never worked in the first fight, so why did it work now? And yeah, it was totally a nod to the past fights from comics/toons where he breaks his venom equipment. I would have preferred if that is how Bane went down in fact rather than Catwoman saving Batman out of the blue.

movie was epic.. this trilogy will be untouchable for a very long, long time.. this is the epitome of superhero movies.. man of steel will be dissected ridiculously because of TDK 3logy.. this movie brought everything full circle..
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: the only thing that i didn't like was how bane was killed.. really? by catwoman on the batpod? you're gonna sneak up on a trained ninja riding the f*cking batpod? i expected a showdown..
the first fight was awesome.. shows how bane is just ruthless.. you know how nothing was working for the batman at that time? when he was trying everything he knew and bane just brushed it off his shoulders? remember that time when you were playing street fighter with your little brother and you think your king shit cause you know all the moves and your lil bro picks zangief of all people? and then he proceeds to kick your ass, with zangief of all people.. then with all desperation you do every supermove you employ but no matter.. that was what was happening to batman.. desperation.. [spoiler] and when bane broke batman's back.. lifted out of the comics..[spoiler] i had a nerd boner right then and there..
second fight was good.. i liked how bane went bat-shit crazy (pun intended) when the tubes in his mask broke..
alfred was the shit.. blake was good, too.. kyle, as well.. everybody knew who miranda tate was, so no big deal about the misdirections.. didn't like how bane turned out because of the big reveal..
On the contrary, Bane is just a more effective, scary, and physically imposing villain. I was never really intimidated by Ledger's Joker the way I was Bane in this film.
I agree. Ledger Joker was an incredible performance, but Hardy Bane was on another level when it came to intimidation. He really intimidated me at times. I could feel Bruce's desperation. Even my nephew, who happens to dislike/hate all things super hero, couldn't stop himself from looking at me and telling me "Damn...that guy is a monster" every time Bane was on screen.
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: When he is talking to the one guy who Bane got all of Bruce's stocks for. How Bane systemically broke down all notion of control the guy thought he had was awesome, and had one of my favorite quotes from the movie
Roland Daggett: I paid you a small fortune...
Bane: And you think this gives you power over me?
Same here, and I prefer the mask over the weakness with the tubes if anything.
Well if the creator of a character or series or something doesn't like the way their work was portrayed in a movie (Battleship being the most recent example I know of), I've usually seen them be honest about it, but to each their own.
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: Did any of you guys notice Batman killed a guy?! Maybe it's just me, but toward the end, looked lke he gunned him down.s
