The droids reinforce! You draw two shooters, then one each on Vimus and his bodyguards. Sadly, the first bodyguard takes a final hit and goes down, a bolt striking him dead on. He crumples beside you. This must distract you, as you take 7 damage yourself.
Vimus himself stays clear, not faltering when one of his men dies. He avenges him with a burst of lasers and clears out the droids to the south. His remaining man damages a droid, while you chop apart another.

"Once we clear these out, we can move out!" Jelena says.

The droids reinforce, and those already in the room split their fire three ways- two on you, one on Vimus, and one on the guard. You deflect a kill shot away from the bodyguard and into the floor, then narrowly sidestep one intended for you, for 3 damage.
Vimus gets rattled with some close bursts, taking 3 damage.
The bodyguard finishes off the damaged battle droid. Vimus shoots down another. You hack down your target.

"Finish them off!" Jelena shouts, before bringing her twin sabers vertical down the center of a battle droid to split it in three. She hopes they can clear the droids out before they reinforce, and then start pushing down the hall to the comm center.

Even the bodyguard can't screw up taking down a damaged droid, and Senator Vimus pops the head off his target.

Time for bravery. Can she ask the bodyguard to stay behind so he doesn't get shot apart, then ask Senator Vimus to come with her? She can waltz into the hall and attack a droid, then tap Orthodox Guard and Reflection to defend her and the Senator from incoming fire while "returning" fire with reflected lasers.

Safe to say you're sticking with your action, but I wanted to give you the lay of the land before proceeding. The corridor stretches ahead of you, crowded with battle droids. Near you, the hallways branch off left and right, but since you closed those entrances off, the droids abandoned them to come your way through the main door.
At the far end of the hall, the large doors lead to the office cubicles.

Your instincts serve you (and your allies) well. 5-3 sees Jelena stride confidently into the first rank of droids and hack one down before stepping back to intercept an onslaught of blasterfire she anticipates. Vimus manages to smack a single accurate laser into the receiver on a droid near her, shutting it down for good, while the bodyguard sprays haphazardly from the doorway and catches another droid in his flurry. This leaves three shooters apiece.
Perhaps predictably against these battle droids, Jelena's offensive defense plays out well. Feel free to describe your bouncing lasers back into the droids ahead of you and bringing down all three.
Feel free to also describe warding off all harm to Vimus, who stays close to you as the shots come in.
The bodyguard huddles against cover and avoids taking any hits as well.
Overall, a good round for our heroes!

Description time! Jelena strides into the first rank of droids and scissor-cuts the nearest between her two sabers. She then raises her left-hand blade to the droids on her left, intercepting a series of bursts and letting them fly back into the droids until the bolts dismantle them. She then delivers a hard smack to a laser coming from her right and totals the droid that fired it.
"No match for a Jedi," Jelena comments, less a taunt and more a personal reassurance.
Jelena then scoffs at the droid tactic to advance. While it gives them more firepower, it puts some droids within the reach of her blades. She takes advantage and runs a droid through with both sabers as it approaches her, before it can shoot, then drags one blade up and the other down, splitting it in half. She steps back to defend Vimus.
Swap OGu for BGu.

5-4 says that you do indeed bisect the enemy droid before it can get a shot off at you. Combined fire from Vimus and his bodyguard sorts out the next one nearest you.
The droids recognize the threat you pose in close quarters and opt not to advance, while still reinforcing. They prove more apt this time, scoring hits against you for 5 damage and against Vimus for 3 damage. The bodyguard shies away from a volley but doesn't come away unscathed this time.
