I hated watching those vids. I must admit. I really wanted to watch this show once my studies were over.
His early 2 feats were more impressive than his later. I must say.
14:00-14:50- Incredible feat.
25:15-25:30- Wow serious force behind those strikes and takedowns.
44:27-46:05- He must've had a wound to his upper left shoulder. But impressive use of the chains. Bite tactic and hanging technique around the opponent's neck impressive.
47:20-47:50-Impressive agility fly into opponent and appliance to throat.
51:48-53:22-He improvised gaining the upper hand over an armed opponent and gainded he higher ground for heavy forced strikes, resulting in using his surroundings to eventually take him down. Expert.
I have to agree with you Lestov he is impressive. Especially due to the fact that he goes for quick throat strikes and efficient counter kick techniques.
He is simply an amazing melee combat agent. No bullshit.
But in regards to McClane who has enormous strike damage feats. And miracle environmental takedown feats. They draw near. The elevator scene in DieHard With a Vengeance, and the unit scene where McClane is protecting and killing mercenaries in the hackers apartment. Really give McClane leeway.
But those moments in Die Hard can be considered luck. I haven't watched 24 before and I really want to after my studies and I don't know how many luck based scenarios Bauer goes through.
I'm being as fair as I can but Bauer wins in skill and distraction. And McClane wins in brutality and creativity.
I haven't even factored in "problem solving" but I'll be honest Bauer is more impressive when it grinds down to close combat.

I forgot to mention that (specifically stated by Chinese guy holding him and not hyperbole) during that entire 20 months, Bauer never said a single word out of sheer willpower
You see why he makes a good opponent for McClane's durability...
Nah that was time out to pick the glass outta his feet, (surving massive bloodloss and then going on to kill the bad guys and rock Natatomi towers in that state and he and the officer chatted to get some exposition going in a breather moment. Nowhere near as bad as being KO'd and at the enemy's mercy. tut, tut, tut...

Turned out Simon (a villain whose plan Bauer would have FUBARed) would have escaped if not for him being a retard, McClane couldn't even stop that plan.....
Also turned out McClane got a far lesser kill count (13 ) than Bauer can in 12 hours
Nah Simon would have been killed right away. Simon wanted fun at McClane's expense through butthurt at the things McClane had done in the past (IE Killing Hans) and was prolonging the "punishment".
Bauer would be treated like everyone else was:
Decieved and dead within seconds or a minute.
But they were great kills. not generic TV ones. And he was in total life-saving mode that movie.

You are very right about that. Simon was at most (and I haven't deducted his moron points) Vladimir Bierko-level, and Jack snapped him like a slim jim.
So yes, when he goes against Bauer, he will be killed right away
Is that suppsoed to mean something? Abu Fayed tortured the shit out of Jack in venegance for Jack murdering his brother, and do you know how that ended? Abu's neck on the wrong side of a hanging chain
Indeed
When McClane goes Donner Party on a man's throat, then we can discuss "great kills" (and I hope you are not including kills like the F-35, which he had nothing to do with)
Episode 4 of Season 2, Jack sat back and watched a few hillbilly terrorist shoot and kill an innocent man who worked for the telephone company because he didn't want to risk blowing his undercover status.
