hes really good once you get good with him. I used him a few times and couldn't do a whole lot but he has a lot of moves that can continue his combos. I played a guy that utterly destroyed me. I got Zombie mode for $1 also. I didn't even know it was up today! lol
And frankly Aquaman's looks the worst out of the Blackest Night skins. Would've expected them to make him look more badass like most of the others, but nope.
Same here. As for zombie mode though, unless they updated it after last I played, seems you can't use it online with someone else that doesn't have it even if you have the setting turned on. At least it's only a dollar so no big deal I guess.
Zod looks horrible. I figured I'd deal with it and most likely ignore it if he had a cool move set.. Nope. Only a handful of uses of his actual super powers. I like the idea of using weapons that phase in and out but aside from one shot of useless foot aimed heat vision and one grab attack there isn't much. His combo potential doesn't seem all that either. Felt sluggish compared to my Solomon Grundy play. I was hoping for a hyper aggressive kryptonian. Aside from the throw and super i don't like him much.
Hm, so I like how Zod's heat vision has not only a close, medium, and far version, but you can charge it which it becomes a pop-up attack if you do so long enough, and that's without using the meter burn variation.
The sidearm and Kryptonian Rifle are pretty cool and fresh looking compared to your usual "character with guns" in fighting games (sorry Deathstroke), and the MB Phantom Strike which temporarily puts the opponent in the Phantom Zone during a combo is friggin awesome! And I like how with Zod's trait, the Phantom Zone creature literally follows its victim around anywhere, which ain't really something that can be abused much because of the recharge time like with all character traits for the most part...

Sure, his combos can take some more getting used to than some other characters, but given time when learning more advanced ones with him and such, am sure I can become somewhere as good with Zod as some of my other mains.
I for one like his playstyle. A mixture of Kryptonian firearms and Phantom Zone abilities in addition to his usual Kryptonian superpowers is much more unique than if he had just been another Superman.
Oh, and his arcade ending was cool, though pretty much what you'd expect.

Indeed. I was actually surprised they are announcing the next so soon. Im assuming it will be Martian Manhunter. I gather this because of his mysterious close up when Scorpion was released.
Anyways I also enjoy him but I haven't played since his release so I don't have a lot to say about him.
I used to have doubts about there being a John Stewart GL skin due to it being awkward for John to have a white guy's voice, but they actually got the voice actor for that skin... Wow, nice. I'll actually use GL more now when I have it, real talk.

as for the GL skin....meh. Its cool they got his voice but I hardly use GL and I would much prefer Kyle. Wonder if they will do another earth 2 pack and include Earth 2 GL.
With MM's stretchy arm attacks being like Dhalsim? I guess so, but it's a natural ability of his, so eh. I think the super is even better than when Ares turns giant during his, although having an attack or two where J'onn turns into that coiling dragon-esque form would've been nice as well. And I wonder if they'll change/update the J'onn model in the background of the Watchtower stage. Either way it'll be funny to play as this J'onn while seeing that abomination in the background. lol
I hardly use GL either but Stewart's the man. I'm already curious as to what the dialogue will be like when he and Hawkgirl engage in a clash.

thats exactly what I meant. I don't mind it I was just pointing it out. lol I was hoping for some kind of morphing attack also but im happy with how he played. I wonder if he can go invisible like Ares....It's not a great ability but I feel like if anyone should do it J'ohnn should lol
What part of Martian manhunters power set are those projectiles being launched from top of the screen? I kind of expected more from his super. Becoming giant is cool but Ares already does it and given his shapeshifting ability alot more could of been done. I also don't get why he turns into the person he is fighting for two hits.
