"We investigate our surroundings, there is no point in making a plan until we have a better idea of what we will find here. I am sure there will be some form of information about the facilities available here."

What's the layout of the hangar we're in?

I want to look around for various security devices they have set up here (Scanners, camera's, etc) not in an 'obviously looking for them' way though, just and observation roll.

Vlad- you'll have to look about once you leave the docking bay.

The Free Flier has landed in a small hangar. It has a single exit with a wide blast door. They have two cameras and a small anti-aircraft repeater gun fixed into the ceiling. Aside from that, the bay is fairly spartan and actually very rundown. Panels are missing, lights are burnt out, things are rusty.

Noted!

Satisfied with his observations Wentar will hide his lightsaber in his cabin's desk drawer.

"First we need to report into their port authority, after that I say we see if we can find any information about the facilities available here, investigate any cantinas, places in and around the refueling depots. We should also look into places that could supply mass amounts of the essentials, medicine, food and the like," Wentar says, as they prepare to leave the ship. "We don't want to draw attention to ourselves though so we shouldn't ask any prying questions. I'd like to get my bearings here before we make any plan to hack into their records, assuming we need to."

Unless Vlad or Emso has anything to add we should move out, Wentar will make sure The Free Flier is locked up tight and secure before we leave though.

Only one question before you venture out, for Vlad and Wentar. Will you try bringing any weapons with you (aside from sabers) or obey the rules?

I vote we obey the rules, it'll make things more difficult if we don't.

Wentar doesn't use any other weapons anyway. stick out tongue

I bet in the long run we could even make a case of these "rules" not being rules at all, due this not being a very reputable place...

Vlad will, however, reluctantly leave his weapons on the ship. He scans the shady environment around him, before heading over to the exit.

"Let's go see what this place is all about, eh?"

First thing is first. The blast door sealing the hangar grinds open slowly when you approach it, but when you pass through the threshold, you glimpse a series of lights and sensors built deep within the door's frame.

The corridor beyond the hangar sports very high ceilings but narrow walking space. Not much attention has been paid to the architecture; its all very spartan and metallic. Thick columns demarcate the ends of the walls between hangars.

A handful of spacers and exotic alien types mill about the corridor, coming in and out of the docking bays or moving toward the exits at either end.

You also spot a patrol coming down the corridor in your direction, from the right.

"Hey, Wentar, it looks like the welcoming committee" mutters Vlad to Wentar and nods in the direction of the patrol.

Those sensors are probably there to confirm identity and probably detect weaponry too.

"Perhaps, or a routine patrol," Wentar muses. "We may as well head in that direction anyway."

Wentar will begin walking in the direction that the patrol has come from.

Also is there any signage around to give us bearings to what's around?

Walking past the patrol lets you get a good look at them. They seem fairly alert but do not pay attention to you in particular. The patrol carry grey cylindrical devices at their belts, and have riot shields strapped to their backs. They sport light armor; nothing that could stop a blaster (or a lightsaber).

Heading to the end of the corridor brings you to the threshold of what you sense is a much greater space. You feel heat coming through the doorway, which makes you aware of how cold the docking bay and the corridor were.

Was the docking bay unusually cold? Is there anything that indicates what's on the other side of this door and is it locked?

Kormsath is just very cold outside! The docking bays aren't much shielded from that.

Only one way to find out what's on the other side, but the door isn't locked, no.

Ahhh makes sense!

Well I'm just going to open the door and see what we can see, if it turns out to be a restricted area it's their fault for having no guards on the door.

I assume Emso is following me and Vlad.

I'm sure if it was restricted it would be locked.

Or some sort of big "No Jedi allowed!" sign, I'm sure.

Passing through this smaller blast hatch delivers you out onto a series of rickety catwalks that line the walls of a hollowed cavernous ovular chamber within the cliff. The roughness but shaped nature of the chamber's walls tells you of its origin- unnatural, man-made, likely with ancient equipment that lacked the sophistication of plasma drills.

Below, grooves in the cavern floor compose "streets" separating squat structures, building hewn from the stone. Thousands of people hustle about, but you cannot tell what purpose the buildings actually serve. Some have additional man-made structures extending the stone dwellings upward, forming short towers.

Opposite of you, at the very far end of the chamber, you see a more advanced complex, a metal quarter sphere built into the cavern wall. The top composes a flat deck area, and the upper levels sport large open balconies. The lower levels are darker and denser and armored. Catwalks feed into these lower levels.

But by far the most impressive thing is some sort of large generator thrumming along on the right side of the room. Perched atop it in a containment field sits what appears to be an artificial sun, radiating heat and light into the cavern. The containment field shifts, brightening and dimming as the star within it scintillates calmly, so as not to blind all who look upon it.

You have never seen anything quite like it.

"Unbeleiveable," Wentar says, as he takes a moment to take in their surroundings.. "I never imagined we would see anything like this when we came here. They must have had massive amounts of resources to make that thing, let alone keep it running."

Just how big is this place? Is it the size of a small town, large city, bigger?

A small town. A more recent excavation effort would possibly have been able to craft a cavern the size of a large city, but this all strikes you as having been constructed long ago.

Emso is fascinated by the miniature star.

"How did they do that?"

Waiting on Vlad, here.

We will just say that Vlad is awestruck by the miniature star thing.

Wentar, you have a large town sprawled out beneath you here on Kormsath. How do you intend to find the information you need about Lo'joon and his freedom fighters?

"You'd probably have a better guess than me, Emso," Wentar replies.

Stuff to do! I have no idea to be honest. I think we should have a look for an administration or reception area. I recall we were suppose to report to port authorities. Stands to reason they might have info if we snoop around enough.

Finding the administration of this place could be a good start. You do not know how this place operates or where anything is; they will.
