Honestly though, I've heard that it plays solidly. No major bugs. Looks good, but won't seem as "busy" as it would on higher end systems. less NPCs etc. Less sparkly effects during magic and such.
Finally got off Destiny and started this. Can anyone help this DA rookie? I'm a dual wielding human. Wonder what I should level up and overall strats for the game.
One complaint I'm having. Not sure if it's just because it's my first playthrough and all the character models look like that. They should have added the option for differing body styles.
My Male Qunari is huge; maybe only a few inches thinner around and roughly the same height as Iron Bull. But he looks...idunno. Like he's just bulky as hell and the environment wasn't designed for him. He clips stuff when he leans against it, is bent nearly in half sitting on the throne, looks uber awkward when leaning down to makeout with Cassandra and especially weird during the sex scene...although considering Qunari seem to be 6'8 on average, that's more of the graphics not pulling off how it should really look, which is still awkard, but not glitchy. Also his hands are so big they dwarf any weapon and his staff is usually stuck in his hand, also his hand never clenches when he's holding it, lol.
And I know it's super tough to have multiple voice actors, but the English or British voice just don't match him. Arishok, Sten, Bull; they all have these deep, raspy, rumbling voices that go with how they look.
Burly and intimidating. Here I have my Qunari mage with these wicked looking vitaar facepaint, a staff with a skull on it, and Fade touched armor...yet he sounds like a silky voiced movie star.
Me too. It all depends on your play style. I'm more of a stealthy poisoner, because the Rogue class are extremely squishy. If you want to run in like Conan, and go head to head Berserker Bill on your target, the Rogue class isn't for you. It really doesn't matter too much if you allocate points in the wrong thing, because there are vendors at every forge area that allows you to reallocate wasted or squandered points for a modest cost. You can be careful on the way you build your character, or just go with what feels right (I did).
At first the game felt like a chore to me, but the more you play, the better it becomes. There are some things that they could do better, but I can honestly say that they covered a lot of bases with this game. This just may be the best RPG that I've ever played, and that's saying quite a bit.
Anyone think Leilianna (however it's spelled) has an attractive voice? I've noticed it since the very 1st game, and I notice how they've gone with similar looks throughout the series. Not sure if anyone else noticed that's all.
For the last 20 hours or so, I was like, "what the hell is going with the story"....until I did my first big story mission and I'm totally in it.
Great ****ing game so far. It's massive but it's interesting. Bungie needs to look into this game and see how to create a world filled with character instead of the bullshit that Destiny is. The side quests aren't ground breaking but at least it gives you a reason to do them.
