XXII. BANNER RESPECT
This Respect Thread would be remiss if it didn't revisit the man within the monster. Dr. Robert Bruce Banner is a super-genius of the highest caliber. And his intelligence has been both the bane and saving grace of his existence ever since he was first published.
Even in the company of Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Hank Pym and Peter Parker, Black Goliath realizes that "when it comes to radiation-based mutation, there's only one true expert." From Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #2:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...Spider-Man2.jpg
Having testified on his behalf several times, Tony Stark asserts that "In his alter ego, he is also our most brilliant nuclear scientist." He later professes, "He's one of the great minds of our time." From Incredible Hulk #153 and Savage Hulk #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...gence16b153.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...SavageHulk1.jpg
Also holding him in high regard is Reed Richards. Here, he reminds his team, "As Bruce Banner, the man is the most brilliant gamma-physicist in the nation!" Even after his brash actions with Skaar, he thinks Banner is "one of the biggest brains on the planet," from Incredible Hulk #152 and 605 respectively:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...gence16c152.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence61605.jpg
(please log in to view the image)
Psychotic as he is, Norman Osborn is also a brilliant inventor and industrialist and during his tenure as the head of world intelligence, he regarded Banner as "probably the fourth smartest person on the planet." From Dark Reign: The List #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ignTheList1.jpg
M.O.D.O.K. understands that of the remaining eight smartest people on Earth, "our biggest threat is Bruce Banner." From Incredible Hulk #607:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence60607.jpg
Disillusioned by constant failure, the Leader eventually concluded, "I had always failed to remember that under that mass of strength was an equally powerful mind." From Fall of the Hulks Alpha #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...9FotHAlpha1.jpg
Dr. Doom has "long wondered just how smart" Banner really is. From Incredible Hulk #606:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...6-GammaDome.jpg
The High Evolutionary recognizes Banner's genius, from Incredible Hulk #266:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...gence18a266.jpg
Advanced alien species recognize Banner's intelligence as well. The alien Toad Men searched for "the most brilliant scientific brain on Earth," and their search leads them directly to Bruce Banner in Incredible Hulk #2:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...gence02-002.jpg
The alien Sagittarians study his encephalic patterns and declare, "He is a scientist -- one of the most brilliant of all!"
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence13111.jpg
XXIII. BANNER INTELLIGENCE
In the Marvel Universe, Bruce Banner is the foremost authority on the effects of radiation and nuclear physics. The Russian super-genius, Gargoyle, would turn to him for a cure to his affliction in Incredible Hulk #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...gence01-001.jpg
Although a nuclear physicist by trade, Banner's genius spans many disciplines. That includes engineering. He can fashion almost any device from spare equipment. Here, he modifies electronic equipment to send out morse code signals in Tales to Astonish #69:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...nce07TTA069.jpg
He understands advanced avionics enough to reprogram flight control computers in Incredible Hulk #254:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence17254.jpg
The discipline of architecture is also within his purview, as he designed a laboratory complex for Scott Lang to build in Incredible Hulk #285:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence21285.jpg
Banner also possesses a mastery of biology. "It would've taken Spar and her cohorts weeks to get to this point [in analyzing bloodwork]... Bruce takes just under two hours." From Incredible Hulk #468:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence26468.jpg
Banner turns out to be a master in linguistics and computer programming as well. Here, he runs through "roughly four thousand different combinations of prime numbers before hitting upon B.R.A.I.N.'s access codes" . . . in Austro-Bavarian. From Incredible Hulk vol.3 #5:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence56v35.jpg
Banner hasn't just accumulated knowledge. He can adapt and improvise as well. Here, he studies an alien doomsday machine for less than an hour without touching it and is able to fully understand its function, in Incredible Hulk #109:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence12109.jpg
Banner only has minutes to reprogram the Leader's missile. "Without another word, the most brilliant nuclear physicist on Earth sets to work -- his skilled fingers moving with the speed and surety of a born virtuoso--!" From Incredible Hulk #117:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence14117.jpg
"For a man of Robert Bruce Banner's genius, analyzing and rebuilding a device of incredible delicacy is almost child's-play." Even when it's Reed Richards' device. From Giant-Size Super-Stars #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...SuperStars1.jpg
Iron Man watches in amazement as Banner manipulates Stark's device as though he was born to it in Incredible Hulk #282:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence20282.jpg
He disarms a never-before-seen nuclear device on a sidewalk in Defenders #19:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...Defenders19.jpg
Banner apparently studied Russian while obtaining his doctorate in physics, as revealed in Incredible Hulk #259:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence18259.jpg
He was able to repair and reprogram a Super-Adaptoid, even working around its unstable molecules, in Incredible Hulk #469:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...Adaptoid469.jpg
Banner hacks a H.A.M.M.E.R. offensive satellite to send Juggernaut a message in Incredible Hulk #601:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...elligence34.jpg
He's overridden H.A.M.M.E.R. surveillance devices to keep hidden in Incredible Hulk #604:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence42604.jpg
Driven mad, he's even mutated ordinary animals into Hulk-like creatures, from Incredible Hulk vol.3 #4:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence63v35.jpg
And it turns out that Banner's genius was something he was born with. As a four year old, he "mastered the intricacies of an erector set in a matter of minutes." From Incredible Hulk #312:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence24312.jpg

XXIV. BANNER INVENTIONS
(please log in to view the image)
Banner's intelligence can also be measured by the things he's invented. He is obviously best known for the original Gamma Bomb (aka Bannerbomb, G-Bomb) that brought the Hulk into the world. Something he reinvented recently when driven insane. From Incredible Hulk #312 and vol.3 #4 respectively:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ceGammaBomb.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...eGammaBomb2.jpg
Now one wouldn't think Banner would be such a prolific inventor. But he definitely is. He invented the Gamma Ray Gun, capable of repelling the Toad Men's alien fleet in Incredible Hulk #2 and recounted decades later in Over the Edge #3:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...03-GammaGun.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...vertheEdge3.jpg
In Tales to Astonish #60, Banner invented the Gammabot, a powerful robot capable of withstanding nuclear explosions and tackling the Hulk. It would re-emerge decades later in Incredible Hulk #601 and be used to challenge Skaar:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...mabotTTA060.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...32-Gammabot.jpg
Banner also constructed the Electronic Gammabot Scanner to track it after it was stolen by spies in Tales to Astonish #61:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...annerTTA061.jpg
He invented the Absorbatron, a device capable of rendering hydrogen bombs useless, from Tales to Astonish #68:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...atronTTA068.jpg
(please log in to view the image)
The T-Gun was, in reality, an experimental time machine. Accordingly, Banner is one of the few on Marvel Earth to have constructed a time machine. From Tales to Astonish #75:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...T-GunTTA074.jpg
Bruce Banner even invented chemical weapons; including Pore Gas, a fume that seals off all the oxygen from a body. From Tales to Astonish #78:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...reGasTTA078.jpg
The Orion Missile contained a payload of destructive ionic energy sufficient enough to destroy a city and was designed to be invulnerable to anti-missile weapons. From Tales to Astonish #86:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ssileTTA086.jpg
He invented the Infinite Weapon Ray which absorbs gamma radiation. It would be used on the Abomination before the Hulk accidentally destroyed it in Tales to Astonish #91:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...teRayTTA091.jpg
Banner invented the Gamma Ray Impulser, a machine that could jumpstart dormant brain signals. From Uncanny X-Men #66 and revisited in X-Men: The Hidden Years #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...pulserUXM66.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...iddenYears1.jpg
The Gamma Ray Projector was another device that would either siphon or project concentrated doses of gamma radiation. From Incredible Hulk #276:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...rojector276.jpg
To aid in research, Banner invented the Recordasphere, a hovering camera with artificial intelligence in Incredible Hulk #286:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...dasphere286.jpg
The Gammascope could peer much farther into space than other telescopes by using gamma rays instead of visible light, from Incredible Hulk #287:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...mmascope287.jpg
Here, Banner's intelligence helps fashion a Gamma Wave Cloaking Device in Incredible Hulk vol.2 #16:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...gence28v216.jpg
He created Fourth Gen Life Model Decoys (although he noted that they could use pheromones to be more believable). From Incredible Hulk #602:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...eModelDecoy.jpg
(please log in to view the image)
Banner's even created a variant of S.P.I.N. Tech that would help give Lyra control over her transformations. From She-Hulks #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...hShe-Hulks1.jpg
And after years of trying, Banner finally created a Hulk Cure Serum during the Stay Angry arc. Far from easy, the cure was concocted from a mutant Mexican drug dealer's finger, ancient Atlantean magic, a techno-organic Russian space-metal twig and a cup of secrets from a race of bigfoots. From Incredible Hulk vol.3 #12:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ulkCurev312.jpg
This is something that was beyond Reed Richards' ability despite "spen[ding] countless hours" trying to do, even meeting "with every great mind alive on the planet to find some sort of cure." From New Avengers: Illuminati #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...Illuminati1.jpg
This cure certainly proved to be a success as he was able to weaponize and load it into a Hulkbuster Gun that shot and cured a horde of Hulked-out beast men in Incredible Hulk vol.3 #15:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...sterGunv315.jpg
Last but not least, he was able to repurpose a small sprig of that techno-organic Russian space metal and create an entire Techno-Organic Forest to undo the gamma radiation poisoning he subjected an entire island to in Incredible Hulk vol.3 #15:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...cForestv315.jpg

XXIV. BANNER INVENTIONS (cont'd)
BANNERTECH
When the Red Hulk rendered him human, Banner designed a whole slew of devices dubbed, "Bannertech," to combat the emerging threat of the Intelligencia. Among those devices was the Flyspy, a microscopic scanner and tracker. From Incredible Hulk #601:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ce30-Flyspy.jpg
He also created a Bannertech Teleporter, reverse-engineered from the Leader's technology. It could be used for personal teleportation or as a pocket portal. From Incredible Hulk #601 and 603:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...hTeleporter.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...hTeleporter.jpg
(please log in to view the image)
He invented Bannertech Shields, which were powerful enough to withstand multiple Juggernaut blows. And these punches weren't exactly light either. They were causing earthquakes measuring up to 8 on the Richter scale. From Incredible Hulk #602:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...hShields602.jpg
The Bannertech shields could drain both gamma and Old Power in Incredible Hulk #601:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...techShields.jpg
They also allowed him to fight toe-to-toe with a separated Mindless Hulk in Incredible Hulk vol.3 #6:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...hShieldsv36.jpg
The Bannertech Shields could be used to simulate super strength, as Wolverine discovers in Incredible Hulk #603:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...techShields.jpg
Or be extended to protect others, as shown in Incredible Hulk #605:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...hShields605.jpg
He also made a Molecule Repulsion Field that simulated levitation, from Incredible Hulks #621:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...epulsion621.jpg
(please log in to view the image)
His Bannertech also included a pistol that could fire several different offensive effects. Examples include the Old Power Taser, whose power was measured on the Richter scale. From Incredible Hulk #603:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...werTaser603.jpg
Or a Bannertech Stun Gun which can incapacitate even the Red Hulk, from Hulk #21:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...unGunHulk21.jpg
Or an Ice Eight Agent capable of freezing the intangible Red Ghost. From Incredible Hulk #608:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ghtAgent608.jpg
Or a Mini-EMP blast, as shown in Incredible Hulk #608:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...techMiniEMP.jpg
To combat the Hulk, an insane Banner invented a Power Glove that would absorb gamma energy and redirect it as kinetic force. From Incredible Hulk vol.3 #4:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...chGlovesv34.jpg
He also designed a whole slew of Bannertech Munitions, including: (i) a 600 caliber elephant gun loaded with gamma-dipped, armor piercing ammo; (ii) a drum-magazine shotgun firing 40-milion volt vibranium flechete taser rounds; (iii) an anti-tank grenade launcher with anthrax-laden shrapnel; and (iv) a liquid lava cannon. From Incredible Hulk vol.3 #6:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...unitionsv36.jpg
His Bannertech Scanners constantly scan everyone within fifty feet of him, from Incredible Hulk #606:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...4-GammaDome.jpg
This is an Image Inducer, used by Amadeus Cho in Incredible Hulk #608 and Banner in Hulk #26:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...mageInducer.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ogramHulk26.jpg
Here, a Portable Healing Kit used in Incredible Hulk #610:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...alingKit610.jpg
Most impressively, Banner invented a Gamma Dome Projector that would disable all non-Bannertech electronics within it -- including Dr. Doom's armor. From Incredible Hulk #606:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...6-GammaDome.jpg

XXV. HULK INTELLIGENCE
Bruce Banner's intelligence is unquestionable. So the Hulk is dumb, right? Not really. Banner's genius actually bleeds into his Hulk personas in ways that are much more subtle than when it emerged outright during his Professor Hulk phase. The Leader hypothesizes, "I had always failed to remember that under that mass of strength was an equally powerful mind. It couldn't speak. But it was always there." From Fall of the Hulks Alpha #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...9FotHAlpha1.jpg
This isn't a novel development. This undercurrent of intelligence emerged numerous times throughout the decades of his history. Here, it's noted, "And then, somewhere in that bestial, clouded brain -- a dim spark that is Bruce Banner suddenly shines thru -- without really knowing why -- without conscious motivation -- guided by an inexplicable, intuitive urge, the Hulk successfully completes the most vital leap of his entire life-- !" From way back in Tales to Astonish #85:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...nce00aTTA85.jpg
In the X-Men's very first encounter with the Hulk, Scott Summers realizes, "Somewhere inside that brute, the brain of Bruce Banner knew that a Man's life was at stake -- and it led us there -- in spite of the Hulk!" From Uncanny X-Men #66:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...nce00bUXM66.jpg
Accordingly, what seems like chance and luck, may not be. "Is it coincidence that the emerald defender hurls his frigid foe directly into the laser beam's searing path... or is it design?" From Defenders #14:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...Defenders14.jpg
Even the supposedly Mindless Hulk bears rather acute instincts. The Puff Collective observes and exclaims, "Some aspect of that intelligence you have buried deep inside you -- emerged long enough to allow you to aid a friend!" From Incredible Hulk #308:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...igence02308.jpg
When those fortuitous instincts emerge again, Betty's confused, "[T]he creatures short out in water! H-how could he know that?" From Incredible Hulk vol.2 #63:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...gence03v263.jpg
(please log in to view the image)
The super-genius, Amadeus Cho, separately comes to the same conclusion Leader had and determines that it's the genius physicist perceiving the physics around him, "You're like me. You can see everything. The mathematics of every object around you. As long as your brain hasn't been tampered with, there's a part of you that's always running the numbers. You know where the innocents are and how to save them." From Incredible Hulk vol.2 #110:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ence04v2110.jpg
Again, this is not a brand new development. Here, Savage Hulk punches a plane to stop its attack and Dr. Strange notes, "And a very effective way it is... precise enough to leave the occupant's unharmed, yet powerful enough to reroute the vehicle -- into the river!" From Defenders #85:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...Defenders85.jpg
Johnny Storm is amazed, "But the green guy does it! And the way he does it --his body absorbing my impact so I'm not a bag of broken bones... I didn't know the Hulk was that smart." From Incredible Hulk and Human Torch #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...e05IHandHT1.jpg
It is probably this ability to perceive the physics around him that accounts for his uncanny aim. A pilot realizes, "Weird! It looked like the Hulk carefully aimed that makeshift spear at my wing -- not at the cockpit! As if... he didn't want to hurt me..." From Marvel Fanfare #7:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...velFanfare7.jpg
Even a bestial Mindless Hulk possesses amazing accuracy. From Incredible Hulk #300:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...lkAim01a300.jpg
Here, a speeding, out-of-control Silver Surfer is diverted to the precise trajectory with a thrown rock in Infinity Crusade #4:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ityCrusade4.jpg
Hulk tosses a ball of crumpled metal and even the police officers admit, "In-incredible! He trashed all the cars... but spared us!" From Hulk/Pitt #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...04HulkPitt1.jpg
Even when caught in a huge tornado and buffeted with lightning unleashed by Storm, "the Hulk finds huge pieces of the floor and, with unerring aim, hurls them at Storm." From Incredible Hulk #444:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ulkAim05444.jpg
"St. Lawrence couldn't believe it. The Hulk had skewered a pterodactyl that was chasing one of her planes." From Incredible Hulk #454:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ulkAim06454.jpg
What seems to be a piece of rubble tossed in a random direction disables a flying Fantasticar emitting a sonic disruptor that specifically interferes with his inner ear and balance... and he wasn't even looking in its direction. Johnny Storm can't believe it, "Huh. His aim never used to be that good." From Fantastic Four #534:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...kAim07FF534.jpg
A possessed Hulk throws a handful of rocks and disables a plane's wing engine in Fear Itself: Hulk Vs Dracula #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ulkDracula1.jpg
This ability to perceive the physics around him may also explain how he travels transcontinentally across oceans. "We were dropping, like a rock, towards the ocean out in the middle of nowhere... From the height that we fell, the atoll must have looked like a grin of salt in a sandbox. But he saw it. And he hit it at just the right angle to cover nearly a thousand miles this time..." From Incredible Hulk vol.2 #33:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...kLeap17v233.jpg

XXVI. BANNER ABILITIES
BANNER DURABILITY
Just as Banner's attributes intermix with the Hulk, attributes of the Hulk bleed into Banner. The line between his human and monster form blurs sometimes; accordingly, Banner developed superhuman attributes himself. For instance, Bruce's human form is highly tolerant to energy. "The master of radiation directs a killing combination of radioactive rays down at Bruce Banner. It is only his own prolonged exposure to gamma rays that enables him to suffer X-Ray's assault... and live!" From Incredible Hulk #276:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...1-Energy276.jpg
Despite high radiation levels, he can walk into a nuclear weapons vault unprotected to the amazement of others, "What in the world... you can't be in here. How are you... how are you even still alive?" From Incredible Hulk vol.3 #4:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...6-Energyv34.jpg
Banner's body is "the only thing on the planet that can absorb all this energy" accumulated by the Cathexis Ray. From Incredible Hulk #610:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...bility04610.jpg
It isn't just radiation he's resistant to. Here, High Evolutionary wonders just how Bruce Banner resists being devolved like the other trespassers to his laboratory and he realizes, "You are different from the rest. The gamma rays in your bloodstream must somehow preclude the devolutionary effect." From Incredible Hulk #610:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...mutation266.jpg
Banner's mind is equally as durable to mental attacks as Animus discovers when he drowns in the depths of his psyche. From Incredible Hulk vol.2 #29:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...-Mentalv229.jpg
Banner's fracturing psyche dominates a communal hive mind in Avengers vol.3 #40:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...vengersv340.jpg
The mental assassin, Vegetable, finds out just how dangerous Banner's fractured pysche is in Incredible Hulk vol.3 #15:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...-Mentalv315.jpg
BANNER AMPING
In fact, there was a time where Banner could access the Hulk's strength without physically transforming. Here, he lifts "a three-ton SUV and flung it like a toy!" From Incredible Hulk vol.2 #47:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...mping01v247.jpg
Banner amped not only his strength, but also his durability as this bully learns in Incredible Hulk vol.2 #50:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...mping03v250.jpg
(please log in to view the image)
This permitted him to fight toe-to-toe with other strongmen, even the Abomination. From Incredible Hulk vol.2 #48 and 54 respectively:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...mping02v248.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...mping04v254.jpg

XXVII. HULK ABILITIES
ADAPTIVE EVOLUTION
Last but not least, the Hulk developed a variety of superpower abilities separate and distinct from his super strength. Having emerged from underwater, Banner discovers that his body can develop glands which produce an oxygenated perfluorocarbon emulsion that fills his lungs, equalizes pressure, permits him to breathe fluid, and avoids decompression and nitrogen narcosis. From Incredible Hulk vol.2 #77:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ution01v277.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...Evolution02.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...Evolution03.jpg
These adaptive evolutionary abilities are revisited in Incredible Hulk vol.3 #9:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...lution06v39.jpg
(please log in to view the image)
S.H.I.E.L.D. data notes "that his mutation will somehow alter his body to adapt" even to a zero-atmosphere environment like outer space. From Incredible Hulk vol.2 #90:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ution04v290.jpg
So hanging out on top of a space ship and fighting space pirates without a suit is not beyond his ability. From World War Hulk Prologue: Worldbreaker #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...WHPrologue1.jpg
ENERGY PROJECTION
Hulk's body not only feeds on gamma radiation, it emits it. And Hulk's used it in defensive and offensive ways. Here, he "expends his almost limitless energy and power, [and] his temperature rises to an unimaginable degree," melting his icy prison in Incredible Hulk #5:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ection01005.jpg
An uncontrollable torrent of gamma radiation ends up incinerating bullets in mid-flight in Incredible Hulk #446. The amount of radiation he projects is so lethal, it instantly kills a handler who exposes his suit and even melts a containment unit that would smother a nuclear warhead:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ection02446.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...rojection03.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...rojection04.jpg
When he approaches Worldbreaker levels, that gamma radiation can be projected for miles around. He can even direct it as a powerful blast and decimate city-sized spaceships. From World War Hulk #5 and Incredible Hulks #632:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ction05WWH5.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...ection06632.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...rojection07.jpg
SUPERNATURAL SENSES
One of the more bizarre powers Hulk has manifested is an ability to see supernatural forms. Dr. Strange notes, "Something in the Hulk's warped nature enables him to see and hear my astral self." From Marvel Feature #1:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...velFeature1.jpg
(please log in to view the image)
These supernatural senses are revisited in Incredible Hulk #166 and 370:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...kSense03166.jpg
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...kSense06370.jpg
In fact, the Hulk is able to concentrate and communicate on the supernatural plane. This astounds Dr. Strange, "I've long known the giant's brutish brain was somehow strangely attuned to my mystic vibrations -- but, now for the first time, the Hulk's mind has called out to me," from Defenders #12:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...Defenders12.jpg
This ability may or may not be related to an apparently supernatural sense of direction. When separated from Banner, the Hulk is able to track him down no matter how far away he is. From Incredible Hulk #130:
http://i388.photobucket.com/albums/...kSense01130.jpg
Doc Sampson references the supernatural when Hulk revisits the original gamma bombsite, "There's something about this place. Some almost mystical link." From Incredible Hulk #314 and revisited in Incredible Hulk #451 and 460:

While he tunnels deep underground, Vision notes, "It would appear the Hulk's bearings are correct. His sense of direction borders on the supernatural." From Incredible Hulk #445:

XXVIII. HULK'S FIGHTS
Here they are. The most iconic and epic fights in Hulk's appearances across 1000+ comics. Hulk doesn't have a rogues gallery... the entire world he inhabits is his enemy. The Hulk is quite possibly the most prolific character in comics when it comes to fighting. Each fight description specifies which incarnation of the Hulk was involved. They are ordered alphabetically and chronologically (by publishing date). I didn't post all his fights; for example, I mostly left out his fights with allies. But I've posted more than enough and will very likely post more of his fights in future updates.
