Gladiator was weakened during the end of the fight by radiation. During most of it, he was at full power and got thrashed. That wasn't a normal Hulk though...hell, it could be argued that this Hulk was one of the most powerful. He lost his connection with Banner due to his fight with Onslaught. It temporarily dropped his durability but it increased his strength to levels never seen before. A couple of issues after this, Hulk was throwing off radiation like WBH was...it was too the point that it was melting people if they were to close to him. This Hulk was also one shotting everyone that came or approached him. Gladiator lasting as long as he did against this amped Hulk was a good showing but Glads weakness had nothing to do with it...he lost the fight before this happened.
It's not misinterpretation at all. Then, during one of those issues, Hulk held a planet together. Let's not forget that Hulk was weakened during planet Hulk. Also, Hulk at his weakest already destroyed planetary objects.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Misinterpretation of your last post?
Show me a scan stating Gladiator was weakened during the beginning of the fight. It happened during the end when one of the barrells from the power plant start leaking radiation due to Hulk and Gladiator fighting.
This has to be the most in-depth repsect thread I've ever seen. Nice job.
I used to collect Hulk comics as a kid and early teen. I'm on my last teen year now....too old for comics.

Here's your proof. (please log in to view the image) (please log in to view the image)
You do notice how the reactor had already gone critical before Gladiator was subdued right? And that they were fighting in a location rife with radiation? And that ambient radiation is Gladiator's kryptonite? So Gladiator would have been weakened merely by virtue of being in that arena, and that tossing him into the reactor was mere overkill?
Also Hulk did a sneak attack.

Lol...that's the end of the fight, crazy. Lol. Like I've stated, "at the end of the fight", the reactor took its toll on Gladiator...before this, the reactor had "nothing" to do with the beating Hulk was giving Gladiator.
That was NOT the end of the fight...This happened after they fell to Earth near a Nuclear reactor. And when Hulk grabbed Gladiators face he released radiation on him. (please log in to view the image)
uhh...Gladiator said if he knew of Hulks power before hand he would of tried destroying the planet...soo can we call it quits on this fight? besides Gladiator lost too Hyperion fair an square...can we go back to respecting the hulk instead of botching up this thread?
well a confident gladiator is no sissy but a powerful foe...but even without the radiation involved its clear his confidence was lowering and his threat to destroy the world if he knew hulks power before fighting pretty much sums it up...he starts confident but quickly lose's his cool...
After everything Hyperion did (withstanding two universe exploding on him, holding back two universes), Hickman still states that Hulk is the strongest member on the team.
