Spider-Man 3 didn't fail just because there were multiple villains Imo.

It was the way those villains were all coming out of nowhere and completely randomly, and without a properly developed, thought out origin story.

So watched the trailer. Looks like they're going for Spectacular SM tv show origin for Electro. Which I'm fine with. Also nice too see Spiderman showcasing his strength more clearly and cracking jokes/talking nonstop.

Trailers usually raise my expectations too much. So I'm still on the fence.

So wait Goblin will be active in this film? I assumed they were just introducing Norman Osborne.
