[SPOILER - highlight to read]: Goblins entrance was BAD. ASS.. Him flying in on his glider after Peter barely survived his Electro battle with his signature crazy Goblin laugh was ****ing awesome.
Still, we had 2-3 legit fight scenes. The first with electro (which was the best by a mile) and the Electro/Goblin fight. Rhino doesnt count. They took a massive shit on Rhino.
Harry killing Gwen instead of Norman made me sick. That was the dead worst aspect for me. There is no redeeming this. That should have been Normans kill.
They messed up the villains. Again. Goblin had an awesome entrance and Electro had one good fight that his second didn't live up to. Besides that, action was weak for three villains.
Garfield was an awesome Peter again. Stone was a great Gwen. DeHaan was a great Harry. Norman was an amazinv dread inducing ******* for the 5 minutes we had him. Everyone else was disappointing.
Overall, I was disappointed. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't live up to one of the best heroes ever made. They could have done better.
first off,[SPOILER - highlight to read]: glad gwen is dead as i don;t care for emma stone
this film was very disappointing. the fight scenes could've been better. the two seconds you see of rhino was deplorable ... the script needed improvements.. garfield had more chemistry with sally field and dane dehann then he did with his actual girlfriend. dehaan as goblin was very very meh, as the goblin was a total waste..
As unfortunate as it is to say this was quite the disappointment. Then again Sony did ship this out just to keep the rights to the character. I did like Garfield's Spiderman though and while a bit camp...Foxx's Electro was passable. Also I didn't fell the movie was crowded however the direction could've been much better. [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Also Peter finding his dad stuff came off as a complete waste of time even though it was supposed to be important and stuff. And I thought people were kidding when they said the Rhino was shit but by the gods....the Rhino was shit. Suprisingly I didn't hate the Green Goblin but I was kind of hoping Norman would be alive on some weird Loki twist stuff. The fact that well only had 3 fight scenes, and only one good fight scene, was disappointing as well. Though Gwen's death was done well so props to that.
Which reminds me, why does every Spiderman film have to have a funeral?
Wish this coulda been like Spider-Man 2, now that film was good and had some good fights between Ock/Spider-Man, still waiting for a good fight in Amazing Spider-Man
Eh...I didn't find that fight particularly memorable but whatever floats your boat I supposed. Sure the Sam Trilogy might have been lacking in cinematography but considering the first 2 were enjoyable I'm willing to cut them some slack in areas they were lacking.
The whole plot of Ramai's were terrible. And they were all so damn cheesy. And they turned Spidey into such a cry baby Wuss! Spider-Man 2 saved that trilogy.
Perhaps....but they still had Jk Simmons and Willem Dafoe. This does not have Willem Dafoe or Simmons. I am disappoint.
Well I definitely agree Garfield is a better Spiderman, its just too bad he had to get in when Sony is playing "keep away" with Marvel for marketing rights.
I just think the whole plot of the new series is better. This film was basically an origin story for as many villains as they want. So it won't be things like Peter' best friend's father Norman Osborne happens to be doing experiments to turn him into the Green Goblin at exactly the same time as Peter Parker is accidentally becoming Spider-Man.
And the guy who killed Parker' Uncle Ben coincidentally happens to fall into a radioactive experiment turning him into the Sandman. And Venom happens to fall out of the Sky and land right next to Spider-Man.
And on top of that I was getting fed up of every villain kidnapping MJ. I mean jeez every single time. Did they have no other plans?
