I'm starting to think I should have kept in the tourney as a contestant.
I just don't know what I would write. I haven't had a single image for the original one I pitched in months, but I feel like competing for competition's sake.
Well, since we are really still on the first issue I don't see it being a problem either, I wouldn't mind, I'd like it actually.

Of course I couldn't be a judge then.
Or could I....
...I couldn't
....or could I...
Actually, if I did join I'd probably try to write a Star Trek comic, because they had those for a while, and if Star Wars is fair game...
You are very hard on your own work, yes? You could still be a judge!!!quote: (post ) Originally posted by Oliver North
sounds just like the influence I need...
I hear you, though, given I'm preventing myself from writing because I don't want to spoil my ideas, I think it might be appropriate advice in this case, if not a rule I shuld follow in all cases
Something they say in the startup world, but which is also applicable to writing, is that ideas are cheap. Just limiting it to writing (cause I have a thousand app ideas, *understatement*) I probably have 20-30 ideas right now I think would be great, I've probably forgotten a hundred more that I thought at the time were the best thing ever. If I don't execute on them and write them (or for that matter, write them well, which won't happen unless I write more and more regularly tbh) they are completely meaningless. Everyone has (or at least everyone thinks they have) great ideas and a lot of them could be something great if done well...the doing is the important part.
Besides, it's not like you can't recycle ideas down the line.

Got all the Riddler trophies/challenges/etc. Beat the normal mode and all side missions, currently working on it in game plus mode. Saving the challenge maps until I'm done with the other stuff, they are way too hard/boring
I put soooo many hours into Dragon Age, never got full completion though :/ actually, I don't think I ever finished it either, kept restarting with different character builds, lol!
Actually just grabbed The Witcher 1 & 2, based on how cool the third looked at E3. lol, I suppose it was the Arkham Origins stuff that got me interested in Arkham City again. Didn't see any of the new Dragon Age stuff, did it look good?
It looks better than 2. That's enough for now.

Okay, cool.
If a story comes to me in the next week, I'll let you know. I'd probably write something in the post-TNG/DS9 era, maybe explore the Beta Quadrant.
I'd read it.

I'm starting to work on a new pitch now.
If it doesn't work out then i won't post it and I'll just remain a judge. Otherwise, I'll force myself to write all six issues, possibly within a week or two because I write in binges.
You'll all find out soon.

This pitch is taking a while, but I'm liking what I'm putting down.
A lot of characters lol...

The format is kind of tricky though. This is going to take longer than if I just wrote prose.

I know what you mean; I had to adapt my own style to suit it.

The page range--is that pages within the google doc, or pages in the comic?

I'm on page 5 right now (page 9 of the comic).

Nice. I think the page range was 8-10 doc pages, iirc.

8-10 doc pages? Damn. No way this issue will fit that.
As it is I'm at the beginning of the second act, maybe the first commercial break in an episode. Maybe I should change the format.

8-15. If you need more, write more. At this point, I just want issues to start coming in.

About halfway done. It's a lot of fun so far.
So...from the looks of it this first issue will be around 20 doc pages. Maybe a little more.
Does anyone have a problem with that?
