Clive smiled weakly at the gesture before looking away. His body language was indicative of things ranging from confusion, shame, sadness, but only good eyes would really pick up on that.
"I don't know what I should do next. For the as long as I can remember now, since familiarizing myself with my power, I've always sought a use for it. I have managed to do that, but I found they weren't always right. You could say that I'm not exactly proud of everything I've done, but all of it has led me here. It's been so long since I've been able to call any place 'home', and I may even have to wait longer. I'm not sure if I'm fit to stay here, but I don't know where I could go, if anywhere. So I've requested your guidance."
Clive looked to Athena with a deep expression of compliance and determination, as if he were a soldier awaiting orders.
"I'm leaving this up to you. Point me in a direction, and I'll head that way," he stated somberly.
Athena was caught off guard by Clive's words and his soldier like determination, it made her feel a bit uncomfortable but she held her indifferent attitude. "I am also still learning how to be a leader and most of us are new to being heroes, however, if you're willing to work hard to protect the powerless with the rest of us then you have a home here and in time we'll grow together." She says breaking her emotional silence with a sincere smile, she stretched out her hand out to Clive, "So how about it, are you ready to be a Titan?"
Christian and his brother Gregory raced to their cafe shop, No Limits. It was on the outskirts of the downtown area of the city. As they got there, both let out a sigh of relief to see the building still standing. In fact, the entire area looked unharmed from the chaos of last night.
Walking through the door, its was clear that the effects of the earthquake was felt in the area as the floor was littered with fallen items. "Thank God nothing else was ruined," Gregory said as he walked around the cafe inspecting things.
"Yeah. It looked like a disaster area last night," Christian added as he grabbed a broom and began sweeping.
"And no one knows what or who caused all of that?"
"From what I know, nope. But you can be sure it was a meta human. Who or what else could cause all of that? It wasn't natural. Plus, this IS Jump City."
Gregory chuckled at this. "That's true." Gregory stood behind the counter and sighed as he laid his hand on it. "And what about your friends? How are they all doing after all of that yesterday? Did you have to work any kind of 'mind-mojo' on any of them?"
"That's a lot of questions, Greg. And, no. I already told you that. There was a lady who I made fall asleep but other than that, I didn't do anything. It was all that other guy. Oliver."
"Oh, right. The Titan."
Christian shook his head. "No. He said he wasn't a Titan. But he sure did handle himself like one would." Christian couldn't help feeling a slight bit of admiration at Olli.
The way he had kept all of the rock creatures at bay until they all disappeared and how know one was hurt because of his efforts. That was pretty cool. But then, after everything was over and he and Olli talked, Christian realized that Olli was just a normal guy. He was completely down-to-earth and even seemed a little embarrassed that people saw him use his powers.
It was strange to Christian that Olli reacted that way but Olli did tell him that he wasn't a hero. He said that all of that was still relatively new to him and he was just doing what anyone else would do if they had the power to do so. Christian was in no place to judge as he would probably say the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot.
He and Gregory continued cleaning the cafe in silence until everything was neat looking again. They had to take inventory of everything that destroyed so they could know what needed re-ordering. After this, they both came to the conclusion that they were in a far better situation than others were and decided not to complain one bit.
After they were done, Gregory decided to give Christian the day off, to which Christian was eternally grateful. However, it was still morning. He dared not go to any of his friends homes for fear of waking them and incurring their wrath. He was walking home and for some reason or another, he kept thinking about how cool Olli seemed.
Not just the fact that he had powers that he used to help people, but his personality all together. While he didn't really know him, Christian got a emotional hit off of Olli that pretty much solidified Olli's sincerity in everything he said last night. He could tell that they would be good friends if it ever came to that. That was when he remembered that Olli gave him his number. He said Christian could call him should he ever feel the need to talk about anything involving their powers and things of the such.
Considering his friends didn't know about his powers of empathy, Christian made a mental note to call Olli soon. He continued home, ready to go back to bed on this Sunday morning. He couldn't remember the last time he had a day to himself. He would do his best to enjoy it. Hopefully, no freak disasters would happen again. But like he said to Gregory, this IS Jump City. ANYTHING could happen.

Clive was noticeably shocked by Athena's offer. He didn't expect to be trusted this well by someone he had just met him. He bowed his head, but then he took Athena's hand firmly and smiled. A multitude of invisible energies could be felt from him; mostly within the range of joy. His aura did not activate, but Athena would likely pick up on this.
"I haven't much to give, but I'll give everything I have." Athena had her answer.
Athena nods accepting Clive's answer with a smile and allowed it to be shown through her facade as well as her exhaustion from not sleeping. "Well then, find an empty room and claim it as your own. Don't worry about roaming around, most the important rooms are locked so you won't run into any accidents, a lot of the rooms have highly sensitive security systems and armed with lasers or whatever Tech felt like installing that day. Take the weekend to get settled, however, we start training early Monday morning." She says suppressing her emotions as best she can, though, she was too tired to fully concentrate.
Clive silently accepted Athena's proposal and made his way back into the tower. He was happy to know that anyone found him worthy of a title that had long since held its own place in modern legend. Still, he found himself slightly conflicted and confused about a great many things. He had so many adjustments that he would need to make, among which actually included getting to know his squad mates. He thought about all of this as he made his way to the nearest vacant room and entering.
He was surprised to know that there was already a place prepared for him, or rather whoever happened to come along. It's only expected that a ragtag team of teenage vigilantes would have room for one or two more and prepare accordingly. As was obvious, every foot of the room, barring the seemingly untouched bed on the right, the area was completely barren. The empty space was gloomily colored and lit only by the morning light. Clive knew he would soon have to make this more... livable, but he wasn't quite sure yet how he would pull that off given the entire past year he spent doing without. For now, this would do.
It was still fairly early, but he immediately made way for the bed. The only thing he had to bring with him was the single outfit he had on him, half of which came off as he tossed his top onto the foot of the bed before crashing on it. He looked up with a new, or rather old thought crossing his mind: he was part of a group before, but that didn't quite turn out the way he hoped for it to. He prayed that the same didn't come of this new team, or that his past didn't follow him here since he was rather eager to leave that behind. He tried to relax as to not focus on it. Thankfully, he already felt sleepy before getting here, so he may at least have a moment or two to clear his mind and calm himself.
Athena Yawned as Clive walked out of sight then shook off her sleepiness, she still wanted to make breakfast for her new teammates and she felt like putting her mind to a simple task. She walked back to the common area where she assumed Oliver was still, she would have to fly him home soon, however, it was still early in the morning...too early to fly if someone were to ask her opinion. Athena pointed her open hand to a white apron hanging on a hook the levitated it to herself and tied it on. She had watched a YouTube video on how to make the perfect breakfast which included eggs, bacon, waffles, and hash browns with freshly squeezed orange juice. She would know attempt to reenact the creation of the perfect breakfast, with a twist that would cut the process in half.
The teen would stand in the middle of the kitchen and slowly raise both arms out wide then closed her eyes to concentrate, it would seem that the whole tower was shaking for a second before going still again. If either of the boys would look in the kitchen they would see cooking utensils and ingredients flying about the room orbiting roughly around Athena. "It has begun..." she says ominously to herself. Athena must have been doing five things at once, mixing the waffle batter, frying the eggs and bacon, grading the potatoes, twisting oranges on the juicer and washing used dishes while staying perfectly still floating in the middle of the kitchen keeping careful eye on everything. Soon enough she would produce a fest for the guys and she was sure that the smell of bacon would wake Matt up from a coma so she readied a plate for him, using the intercom in the kitchen she would call the titans for breakfast not noticing she was covered in flour she would wait patiently for the guys. With a second to herself she finally realized she was the only girl titan on the current team and not only that, she was leading them, she smiled at the thought and remembered how hard it was to lead when two other girls were on the team, however, she did miss Snow and Nova more then she would like to admit.
Enter, Rapid Star.
A girl is standing on a high building as the sun was being blocked by ominous clouds rain and wind battered the girl but she hardly seemed effected, she would stare down at the chaos below as if assessing the situation. The girl seemed to be in her teens dressed in a black pea coat, underneath she wore a black top that didn't quite cover her stomach and black leggings with combat boots, and on her face she wore a masquerade mask of black and gold. If someone were to give their opinion of the girl they would accuse her being a weird cosplayer and 99% of the time they'd be right, however, it was different today, she was a defender of justice, she was Rapid Star! The teen would pounce off the ledge of the building and come crashing down fist first on a rock creature reducing it to rubble, a man wrestling with one of the creatures trying to protect his family would yell in desperation as he begun to lose the fight. Rapid Star sprinted to action and with brute force she through the rock creature away from the family she would then crash her fist into the rock creature destroying it's core center causing it to crumble, these were obviously level one enemies she thought. She looked to the man covering his family, "Go while you can, I'll hold them off!" she commanded as heroically as possible. "Y-yeah, thanks..." he says escorting his wife and children away.Rapid Star smiled but just then she sense danger from behind, she spun in time to catch a boulder with one hand and sent it back at the creature charging behind it. She would protect the people caught in this craziness through out the attack and help with rescuing trapped civilians with other rescue workers until the late night.
Faith would wake up the next morning tired and sore but the sent of bacon was too prominent to ignore, her caretaker, Aiko would be in the kitchen making breakfast like she did every weekend. Faith pulled herself out of bed and walked zombie like to the kitchen where she found a seat at the table where she would lay her head down before mumbling, "Goo-Mor-ing." Aiko would turn to the teen and her hands on her hip and and an annoyed look on her face, "you better sit up, it was your choice to sneak out last night and come back this morning, now you'll have to pay the toll," the older woman said impatiently. Faith would sit up and smile brightly at Aiko, she was the only one who knew about her escapades of trying to become a hero and promised Aiko she would not let her grades slip or get into serious trouble in return Aiko would not tell her parents what she was up to. "Yeah well, it's the weekend no school," she said as if she won something. Aiko smirked as if pulling a trump card her trump card, "have you forgotten already child...you work this nothing." Faith's smile would turn sour as she remembered her schedule, "Oh shoot, I forgot I work today!" she yelled finding her energy and sprinting back to her room to get ready.
After breakfast Faith was in a sprint straight to work from her apartment, she was still a hour early but she didn't even know if the cafe was still standing or if they would need extra help opening after last nights incident. She would get to the small cafe just as Christian and Greg were walking in and was glad that it was at least still there. She would follow them in and act like she was out of breath from running, her apartment was quite far and there were debris all over the down town area to get over. "Wow, was so crazy last night huh? I'm so glad nothing serious happened." She says with a bright smile to get the guys attention.
Olli was standing in the kitchen when Athena returned. As she telekinetically grabbed an apron, Olli took that as a sign to get out of her way. He gave her a wide berth as she stood still in the kitchen. He had no idea what she was up to and then the building started to rumble. Before he could stop himself, he let out a high-pitched screech, thinking that there was about to be another earthquake. However, he regained his composure when he saw food flying about.
He straightened up and cleared his throat out of embarrassment before looking around and went to sit on the couch. He had every feeling in the world that things would be exotically weird once he moved into the Tower. And seeing Athena float food around her only exacerbated that notion.
He could see that she was concentrating on what she was doing but when a egg flew towards him and he had to duck, he figured her mind was somewhere else. For his own personal safety, he laid down, the back of the couch his shield against the lunacy of a telekinetic food handler.
He shook his head as another egg careened into the far window.
Gregory
Gregory looked towards Faith after she spoke. This was the third time she was late this week. However, she always made up for it with an abundance of energy. He had to admit to himself that that was truly the only reason she was still employed.
"I know you just got here, Faith. You're not fooling anyone." He shook his head and smiled as he was tidying up the counter. "Lucky for you, we like having you around. But you've gotta do better on your getting here."
"Grab a broom. But to answer your question; no. It wasn't ALL that weird last night. Things like that happen all the time in this city. But I WILL say that nothing that big has happened in a couple years.
"Christian and his friends were in the middle of it last night. That's why I gave him the day off. He left a little before you tried to sneak in."

Athena finally noticed the mess she made in the common room with the eggs, "Maybe I was trying to do too much at once..." she said blushing. The teen got cleaning supplies and floated to the smashed egg on the window, "there's food in the kitchen if you want, I'll take you home soon." She said avoiding eye contact still embarrassed about making a mess. Just as Athena started to clean Matt rolled in with Serena-bot pushing him in his wheel chair, he seemed half asleep still but that did not stop him from grabbing a fistful of bacon before munching on it. "m'con gud," he mutters with a mouth full of bacon.
~Faith~
Faith looked at Gregory clearly confused, she swore she left her house one hour early to help before opening, she looked at her watch for a second and noticed it was not the right time. "You gotta be kitten me, I thought I was gonna be super early today!" Faith said with a pout. "I'm so sorry Gregory..." she said bowing her head in defeat then grabbed the broom and quickly swept up and righting anything that was knocked over. "Hey Gregory, what do you think about people with powers, like the people responsible for caus'n trouble yesterday or the titans that try to protect the city," she asked as she finished sweeping.
Olli smirked as Athena floated pass. "Its cool. You wanna know how many times I got down and dirty in the kitchen trying to create. Actually, you don't. It was always war when my mom saw."
He hopped off the couch to get his fill of food when Matt and the robo-nurse rolled back in. Matt went straight to the food, grabbing a handful of bacon and shoving it down his throat.
Olli let him do what he needed on account if hint being injured but once Matt was out of the way, Olli had to control himself from ravishing what Athena made. He started to wonder how long Athena had her powers to be able to do such intricate things with her telekinesis.
He shook the thought out of his head as he grabbed a couple of waffles to go with the rest of his breakfast. He didn't want to give the wrong impression that he was greedy, so he got a modest amount of food. It was going to be an extreme change moving in with a group of teenagers. He had a lot to learn.
Gregory
"First," Gregory replied, "It's daylight saving time. You might be an hour behind. And second; we don't KNOW if it was some superhuman that caused all the damage and crap yesterday." He let out a sigh as he continued.
"As for my thoughts on superhumans as a whole, I thoroughly believe that it depends on the kind of person they are. I'm not one to judge a group of people based off the actions of a few. Yeah, there are a LOT of bad guys in the world. With incredible power. But there are also a lot of good ones, too. Look at the Titans or the Justice League."
He finished organizing the counter and shelves and appreciated his work before turning to Faith. "Why do you ask?"

"Doesn't seem all that wasteful to me," a synthesized voice says to the girl from the shadows. Red X opens his eyes and steps forward out of the darker part of the alley. The crimson cross on his chest almost seemed to glow in the morning light. It wasn't really part of his day's plans to run into the girl known as Ghost, but so far none of his real investigations had turned up anything, so maybe something less involved would be a nice change of pace. Besides, she had been one of the new Titans' first encounters, just before he'd arrived. Didn't seem quite fair that everyone else got to have fun.

The teen washed up before making her own plate, despite the mess the food was quite good she would have to slow down next time she cooked to perfect her cooking no jitsu. Athena took a seat next to Olli while Serena-bot was rolling Matt around the room as instructed, it seemed Matt was still out of it but didn't want to rest, she would have to make him sleep it would seem. After she was down she washed any dishes that were used and put the leftovers away for the other titans if they wanted. Athena then looks to Oliver and says, "Well I'm ready to take you home at anytime but I'm gonna have to fly you, I don't know how to drive...or rather I never needed to," she says feeling silly.

Faith looked like she was guilty of something then continued to sweep, "N-no reason, it was just a question to break the silence heehee..." She says nervously. She put the broom away and started cleaning the tables, it was almost opening so she would put a bit more speed into getting things done, it was almost supernatural she even had time to clean the windows. She found Gregory after finishing her task, "All done Greg, ready for opening sir!" she says saluting him, she was excited to let the customers in so she could greet everyone with a smile.

Katarina flinched as Red X reviled himself, she felt so dumb letting her identity be discovered, she quickly teleported her mask back on to her face knowing it was too late. "So you seen huh? Guess it doesn't matter really, your a titan right? Don't look surprised I have eyes all over. Athena probably spelled her guts about me and our history...So you find the criminal Ghost, what do you intend to do, Titan?" She says rather confident.
Olli's face bunched up at this. He hated flying. A lot. He thought everyone would have heard his screaming when he was flying Matt's car over to the Tower last night. They apparently didn't.
"You guys don't have a speed boat. Or a teleporting machine? Or some kind of secret passage way in this building that illogically leads into some alley somewhere in the city? You know, like in the comic books." He knew that he was being fanciful but that didn't prevent Olli from trying to get out of the coming air trip.
Gregory
"Hey. Whoa. You know I don't like that word, sir. I'm nowhere near the title of 'Sir.' Are you trying to offend me, Faith?" Gregory shot her a look of mock-offense before tossing her an apron and grabbing one for himself. "I'm only 29. I don't even have gray hair yet."
He walked over to the entrance and turned the sign over so that "OPEN" could be seen. "Oh. It's just going to be me and you until this afternoon. No one else comes in until 2 pm. I hoping it wasn't a mistake giving Christian the day off. You think we can handle this?"

"You're quick," X replies while bring his arms up and casually folding them across his chest, "Too quick, though, kid. I didn't know you and the goddess went back-a-ways." He then raises his arm and thumbs behind him towards the other end of the alley. "I'm not here to try and turn you in," he adds, "I was just on my way to check one of the local gangs, the Black Spiders. They've been trying to expand their territory since JC was without the Titans. Figure I'd pass along the news, and maybe a few beatings for good measure." He acted as if Katarina's knowledge he was a Titan were nothing special as he watched her reaction.
Of course, it wasn't coincidence that Red X happened to be going after the gang. He'd seen Ghost's early morning scuffle, which was what led him to make contact. In reality, he had some interest in the girl by her profession. Being a thief wasn't something new to X, and it might even give him some common ground with the girl, if he revealed it at the right time. For now, though, he figured taking the fight to a bunch of street thugs might be enough of a lure, and he really was interested to hear how she knew Athena.

Athena shot Oliver a look like he's being silly, "You're a Titan now, have a show a little courage, come Monday you're going to need all the courage you can muster." She says adding a sinister smile. Athena stretched her hand out toward Olli and gave him a second to brace himself before levitating him a few inches off the floor, "Now then, lets began, however if you scream you'll owe me 40 push ups first thing Monday morning." Athena says still smiling diabolically, it was something that she picked up from Nova back when she lead the morning work outs. A few moments later they would be in the air flying over the bay and Athena did not hold back like the last time she flew him.
~Faith~

"Wow 29! You're older then I first thought, practically a fossil." Faith reply jokingly taking the apron and tying it on. She was getting ready to deal with customers, she liked to serve them, however, there were jerkish people and creepers that would try to flirt with her but she tried not to make a big deal about it.
"Oh. It's just going to be me and you until this afternoon. No one else comes in until 2 pm. I hoping it wasn't a mistake giving Christian the day off. You think we can handle this?"
Faith nodded to the taller man with excitement to show that she was ready to work hard, "Oh yeah, we got this in the bag, just try to keep up!" she says pumping her fist up already claiming victory.

I'm sure they're quaking in their boots knowing that I'm after them, in fact I'd be surprised if they're not disband by now," she says maintaining her confidence.
"Well this is my stop" As the bus came to a stop I got up and got off the bus. When I looked around I was amazed on how big the city was. I was thinking about exploring for a little bit and maybe try out some of the restaurants they had, but I came to this place for only one reason. I had to find Athena, I looked around and took out the photo. I looked at it for a long time and got her faced memorized in my head. Now the only problem was how was I gonna find this girl in this large city. I decided to get to higher ground, I looked for a large building and when I spotted a large skyscraper I made my way toward it. And on the way over there I kept asking myself "what will I do if I actually find her."

Inside a dark alley in Jump City, a figure walked. Nova. The titan walked alone and quietly through the dark, holding a familiar device in her right hand. The Titan communicator. Upon closer inspection, the device appeared to be scratched and damaged, though still mildly functional. Over her body, she wore a dark blue jacket with red edging. Her hood was up over her head, covering her bleached hair and hiding the upper part of her face. Her eyes, a deep ember in color, couldn't be seen at this angle because of this. Despite this, they seemed to be densely focused on the communicator in her hand.
".. Huh..?"
A flash suddenly tore through her mind. She could see pain, torment. Fire growing. Her body trembled. She felt scars forming over her body. Burning. Hatred. SHUT UP!
Her hand twitched and she gasped loudly as her eyes flew open. Her opposite hand raised to her chest, gripping it, feeling her heart pounding like a drum inside of her chest. As her heart began to slow back down, Nova flipped the device open. She looked upon something inside of it, above the communication mechanic. It seemed to bring a pause to her. She closed the device and gripped it, before continuing her pace out of the alley and into the main city.
As Nova entered the sidewalk, she felt an aggressive presence nearby. Someone who had a malicious intent. Her flesh began to burn as fire began to go through her veins. She began to become angry, being close to someone who might have meant her or someone she knew... someone she knew.. Nova's mind began to flash again as she saw images of a girl, a light skinned girl, someone...

Nova turned partially, holding the communicator in her hand. Her body heat began to shoot up with such intensity. The very air around her felt heavy and deep. As Austin came upon her, his body would feel a very painful feeling, as if he were on fire. Others nearby, the civilians who seemed to remain at a distance, noticed nothing as no physical flame had left her. This was pure and simple rage manifesting in the form of raw heat.
As Austin walked up he saw Nova, he didn't want to talk to anyone to keep a low profile but something looked terribly wrong with her so he asked her "hey are you alright" he put his hand on her forehead to see if she had a temperature only to burn his hand when he touched her. "Ow what the hell, did you
just burn me?" He finally realized this was no ordinary girl he took a few steps back and began manipulating the wind to make it circle them at high speeds. He then asked "who and what are you?" He didn't mean to be so aggressive it just surprised him.
"I'll let the titan princess tell you all about our past, in the mean time, you shouldn't worry yourself with the Black Spiders. I'm sure they're quaking in their boots knowing that I'm after them, in fact I'd be surprised if they're not disband by now."
"Suppose I can take your word for it, but that still leaves the other gangs," X replies with a shrug. He turns around, raising his hand above his shoulder in a farewell gesture as he starts walking down the alley. "If you feel like knocking a few heads around, I'm starting with the Mad Mods. Otherwise, I'll catch you on the next heist." he adds with a chuckle as black of the suit melds into the shadow of the alley.

The pupils of Nova's eyes began to glow with almost a burning golden light. The intensity within her eyes was like her soul itself was on fire. Her body fully turned, looking onto Austin with a serious look now. As the wind began to blow, her hood and jacket would be blown around with it, as if loose. She placed the device into her jacket before closing both of her hands into fists. The veins within her hands could be seen with a flame running through them. Her body became tense. It was as if she was about to explode.
As the fire built up and came to a peak, she let it loose. Her arms swung out, unleashing all of it at once in a constant flow. A horrifyingly bright flame poured out from her arms that struck the walls of the wind and began causing a chain of explosions around them. As each chain link exploded, the pressure pushed past the two of them with an undeniable pressure.
The fire came out in such quantity that it began to spiral within the wind, creating a sort of 'burning tornado' inside of the gust. Its heat was radiating from the walls of the wind geyser, burning Austin's body as if he himself had walked into the fire. The flames themselves began to jump around, landing on the ground at his feet and over his clothing, beginning to burn them. It threatened to burn him alive at this rate, should he do nothing.
