but i know: he could still switch it off, which is what any sane non-suicidal person will do. van zan however has proven that escape is for cowards and a real man faces danger by diving head-first into death's jaws rather than take a painfully obvious escape route.

Yep, keep ignoring he was taking on a 40 foot flying carnivorous fire-breathing dragon which could have (and would have) incinerated the building he was climbing down before he could escape.
