We have certainly seen the film. It's the one where Van Zan didn't do all these amazing "beast" things, but decided to commit suicide out of equal parts stupidity and rage.
You should probably watch that version, it's far different than the one you see in your head.

WTF are you talking about? He sacrificed himself by luring the dragon to him so the chick could get into position (so his plan could work; he even gives her the exact instructions; master tactician, unlike McClane).
He was on top of a tower with nowhere to go. He shot an explosive arrow at it, but being the alpha male dragon, it was so large that it withstood it. The dragon was coming for him anyway, so instead of running away like a bytch, he charged at it. He was dead anyway because there's no way in hell he could have gotten off that roof even if he did try to get away, so he just took the more valiant way to go out. He didn't commit suicide
Again, you obviously haven't watched the film. Zan charged the dragon because he was screwed anyway. Those circumstances don't apply here. Van Zan tips the woodchipper over and walks away /thread

- His plan
-So because the dragon spat fire and exploded the arrow (which wounded it), your blaming it missing (which again, it got wounded) on Van Zan's incompetence, rather than, you know, the obvious dragon blowing it up, since that's what it did LOL your butthurt is insane.
- It was Van's plan which Quinn used to kill the dragon.
"Rage-induced suicide". Again, You are so biased that it's sickening. The dragon was going to kill him anyway. He chose the more valiant way to go out, rather than running and undoubtedly being eaten from behind. You act as if the circumstances would have allowed him to survive. He was dead no matter what.
This retarded thread implies Zan will leap into the woodchipper. The woodchipper isn't even large enough for an entire limb to fit in, less lone a man. If Van Zan did go at the woodchipper like he did with the dragon, he'd just blow it up with an explosive arrow. If you don't allow that, he'll just use his axe to break it into malfunctioning order. If you don't allow that (and your butthurt would have to be EPIC at this level), Van Zan would just tip it over, and walk away.
Zan wins obviously. This thread is retarded, and so is the threadmaker, who can use their lube to shove this biased trollbait thread up their ass.
is that your third rage-quit? make up your mind man

His plan was to shoot the dragon dead from the advantage of the tower, it failed. This is a fact you need to accept.
He did commit suicide (The dragon aside, unless you think jumping off a really tall tower isn't suicide?) because he raged at failing. This is a fact you need to accept.
I think everyone has agreed that Van Zan wins the same way he "won" in RoF. By "sacrificing" himself so Quinn can turn the ignition off at a later point which has nothing to do with Van Zan's actions.
