Nope, sadly. Just from suburbs that are very close together. So my accent (when I put it on) actually sounds a lot like his. I wouldn't mind having his looks though.
Good post. I've been saying for a while now that being the most well known is not the same as being the most popular. I think Bats & Spidey are both more popular than Supes. With all the hype that's been made for MOS, it should destroy IM3 at the box-office if he's as popular as some think. It won't, because the GA doesn't care about Supes all that much anymore. As more interesting characters like IM & Wolverine get mainstream exposure, the GA is gonna care about characters like Supes less & less.
All it takes is one good movie. It doesn't even have to be great. X-men, Wolverine and Thor have shown this.
Man of Steel will pull great numbers, but so what if it doesn't beat Iron Man 3. Iron Man 3 has the entire marvel franchise leading to it. Man of Steel is coming from Superman Return's sour taste. If it gets close to Iron Man 3 that would be more than enough(and it won't)

IronMan was a great character the GA hadn't really been exposed to. I'm not sure what your point is. A great character got a great movie and now he's a worldwide box-office star. What part is bullshit? You know how I do.
Colossus is my second favourite Marvel character, and currently my 4th favourite character in general (Behind Cyclops, Superman and Aquaman respectively).
"Interesting" is open to interpretation though, which I'm sure you know. One character isn't going to definitively be more interesting than another 100% of the time to everybody, unless the other character is shit.
I thought its bs to expect MoS to pull more than Iron Man 3. 1 billion is no little feat. Does MoS have hype? Hell yeah it does. Social networks are going crazy with all the trailers, but lets not forget all the hype Iron Man 3 had after the gigantic success that was Avengers and how his solo films have done great. Man of Steel on the other hand is coming from that borefest that was Superman Returns(wish I could forget about it but no...f u singer)
Superman is a great character. He has a lot of depth and he does have his charm. If he didn't he would've been gone long gone. Unfortunately for Superman his first shot at making a comeback to popularity/masses this new generation was missed by bryan Singer's god awful decisions. Batman was in a similar position before Nolan came and bombed the shit out of everyone with a great modern take on the classic character. Now Superman has his second(possibly last shot for the foreseeable future) at nailing it with a director with fresh ideas and a respected producer(though Nolan didn't really do anything)
