As mentioned already, [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Faora mask's was removed. As for the big guy, he wasn't taken out just knocked down. We see him fighting with no sign of damage afterwards.
Good feat. But wasn't the Thing hurting him in their brawl? It's been awhile since I've seen it, but if so Supes can put him down.
superman took the world engine blast for an extended period of time, why are we assuming surfer will knock him out with his blast?
Galactus showed no feats whatsoever, he showed an extreme appetite and superior tech that devours worlds but that's it. not sure how he is of relevance, this is not comic galactus.
It's pretty clear Thor holds back when fighting people his own size, he was impressive against destroyer, the frost giants & the leviathans. he was rather unimpressive against Iron man & Loki, and simply could not match Hulks power in avengers ( fair to say Hulk was about to finish him when the fighter jet intervened) he also struggled to escape from the pod. from the way he was struggling it seemed like he knew he would get seriously hurt if he remained in there.
comes down to Thor not holding back, surfer did not display much in the movie offensively to tell me he has a shot at beating superman ( barring his end of movie hail mary)
Thor was also in a hellicarrier surrounded by SHIELD agents. When Thor goes all out, he can destroy massive landscapes such as in Jotunheim. Sure he got overpowered physically, but the fact that Thor didn't even use lightning on Hulk is a clear display of him not going all out.
@Bran: As we see from the above video, Sue bled out from her nose simply due to strain of containing Johnny's nova. What Doom survives in the above scene is pretty insane.
I haven't seen MoS yet, but from the discussion going on, it seems the Surfer could very possibly take Kal in a one-on-one fight, let alone when he's being backed by physical powerhouses like Thor and Hulk and a mental powerhouse like Xavier.
I disagree. Almost all of the extremis supersoldiers were able to damage or outright destroy most of his armors in the final fight of IM3. I have yet to see MoS, but based on what people have said about this new Superman, I am inclined to believe that he's plenty tougher than Iron Man.

Tony's armor traded effectiveness for coolness. =\
How easily they destroyed his armors made me angry. Sure it was cool how Tony was switching armors, but this wasn't the same Iron Man I saw enduring massive punishment in Avengers.
What do you mean? An average supernova has 100 billion Kelvin of temperature. If it was at supernova level, then Doom clearly withstood billions of kelvin worth heat.
