Voldemort, snape, dumbledore, and harry are up against princess celestia, twilight sparkle, queen chrysalis, and shining armor to see which magic is stronger. To make things a little more sporty, the killing curse is off the table.

Nothing that compare to moving the sun and moon with her mind, surviving inside the sun, and travelling from said sun within a minute without teleporting. She could physically beat them to death before they process a thought.

Because we actively see Celestia travelling to Twilight and friends. We know she can teleport as well, in this instance she did not.
Celestia riding in a chariot ever is the single biggest piece of laziness in MLP.
