Link was always selfless she wasn't. She has both elements in her unlike Link or Dorf.

Midna selflessly helped people long before Zelda saved her. But fine, do you agree that Midna stopped being selfish after her life was saved?

She is both. She was selfish and did not care about the guy who was aiding her in her quest.

She has both good and evil inside of her like most people. She isn't pure evil like Dorf or pure hero like Link.
