Been chatting with Charlotte. She knows her muties. I think she has a chance to push Id more than people realize. Suffice it to say, I won't be assuming anything in that matchup, and have been brainstorming ideas in case I face either of them (while focusing mostly on PG, of course).
I knew leo's amalgam way less than PG's, so I initially focused my research on Beetle and Fantomex. Set me back a bit when PG won, but I was somewhat prepped to face PG's amalgam from the start of this thing, so I feel like I'll be coming out strong.
Obviously PG has better complimentary elements than he did in leo's tourney. Not just because of the higher tier level, but because the amalgam is balanced better. And of course my team is nothing like it was in leo's tourney.
Still, it's a good fight. Been some shorter posts than usual, but that's not a bad thing.
Id figured out the basics of my Havok amp during drafts. But I don't think anyone realized some of the other things my team is capable of (particularly DA). And of course, I'm not out of tricks even now, but I'm more than just an energy amp and an angry robot...which is mostly what people saw at first.
I did want to use Death's Head II as a body pick - Dark Angel could have easily unlocked his more exotic powers - but there were a couple advantages of Ultimo that I couldn't pass up. Even if it meant not picking a fan crush like DHII. I've also already featured DHII in a tourney. I dislike repeating myself.
Well, I'm not sure PG over leo was actually an upset. But other than that, this tourney has pretty much gone chalk.
I wouldn't be surprised if anyone left wins at this point.
Id, whoever you face, you better not think you can coast in the finals. If we fight, you better bring it. I've been waiting for a shot at you. I just hope I get the chance.
Anyways, I feel...flattered, that this tournaments Big Four (Leo, Charlotte, Digi, and Psycho), all have a burning desire to break my character, along with my arguments.
Best of luck to the winner, rest assured I am prepared for the final. I've been prepared, the moment my drafts where deemed legal.
