That's what I said earlier. They need to resemble the character. Most actors don't really look like the character until they add the makeup and costume, etc... IMO.

Of course they do. lol. If they didn't they wouldn't be bringing in all these shows and movies. Most things you read about a movie on paper (yes, including famous ones like Inception, TDK) sound horrible, but it's all about how the director executes it on screen.

Makeup wont make momoa look like aquaman unless they pit a wig on him and go whiteface.

I have a feeling (Probably wrong, though) that Mamoa won't be Aquaman. Wouldn't WB officially announce it already? What are they waiting for?

Do we know who the villain is? Is it just Lex, or are their others?

I think Momoa is better suited to play Vandal Savage than Aquaman, which pretty much sums up why I don't like the casting decision.

I've been burned enough by comic movies in the past (and apparently they mean to continue), that I just can't get excited like I used to.

At least, not until I see something concrete, like news that shooting has started on a movie or something.

It will be pretty entertaining when(and if) they announce that this is 100% true about Lex. Then you will most likely do a full 360 and say how this could work, and that they need to do this because of the direction WB is taking this movie, and it will be awesome, etc, etc.
