Henry Cavill is already 30. They want someone a lot older than him?
How with this work moving forward, in interconnected films? Unlike Tony Star, Batman doesn't rely on powered armour to keep him in the game. Unless this is nothing more than a loose adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns...
But you can't move on to a Justice League movie after that.

Mid 30s isn't THAT old, imo. Plenty of actors in that age range take on physically demanding roles; plus, it also means that we'd get an experienced Batman, rather than someone just starting out, like Superman was. Batman could even mentor Superman a little, grounding him in a way.
It's a rumour, sure, but I don't put a whole lot of worry towards it.
One thing I feel secure about is that Snyder's Batman is most likely going to be a less "real" version of the character, and more like the comic version to the extent that he should almost seem superhuman at times.
It's not, certainly not for these purposes. I remember reading once, years back, that Superman (probably pre-crisis) was generally thought of as "around 35." Captain Kirk was 34 when given command of the Enterprise (Shatner was 38). These days, even 40 is not that old.
But now...the movie is officially Batman vs Superman? I'm gettin' a bad feeling already.

Batman has to have a good showing against Kal I think. that will determine whether or not the actor playing him as well as this next interpretation of Batman will be accepted..
No every actor is Robert though

Batman going up against Superman should be like their meeting in Justice League: When Batman sees the utter futility of going up against someone that can destroy him with a flick of his pinkie, he decides to talk it out.
I would agree that that might work but with todays audience and fans and especially non fans they will fight at least once, most likely it will be a misunderstanding..
Well yeah Snyder will do that like he did with the heroes in Watchmen.
I'd be happy with something along the lines of The Dark Knight Returns fight. It will be entertaining to watch, show all the amazing skills and weapons at Batman's disposal, but ultimately show that it's only a fight because Kal is allowing it to be. That's when Bruce might be a d*** and bring out some Kryptonite. But even then Bruce is getting into Kal's head and as a result Kal is still holding back even with Kryptonite in his face.
But what I don't want tbh is a Batman/Superman scene where Superman just knocks Batman out with a flick in half a second. Because where's the fun in that? In a post Avengers movie verse that's just not gonna cut it as entertainment Imho.
I want it to be clear Batman ultimately can't do anything to Superman, but at the same time I want some sort of visually stunning fight that makes you think, "Superman's invincible and Batman's completely out of his league but he's still frigging awesome, and this is one of the best superhero moments ever!"
Gender: Male Location: Training the machines of War.
I would love to see an onscreen adaptaion of the two throwing down, but I believe the tension between them will be more ideological/philosophical than physical. With Supes being a "first contact" being, Bats won't throw trust into him from the start.
