Nevermind my last post I'm an idiot. They did all the New York shots in one day then did the rest in L.A.

phone booth didn't seem worth my time. not that great of a story. i do want to see colin farrell's upcoming movie: s.w.a.t. i still need to see american outlaws. i haven't seen that many nor a fan yet of colin's. just that he's been in a lot of good movies and along side great actors. he's making quite a rep. for himself. ^.~

Basically I would summarise this film as Speed 3 only this time its in a phonebooth not a boat or a bus.

PhoneBotth/Liberty Stands Still
Phone Booth/Liberty Stands Still- Ok ive just watched this movie on DVD and its the same basis as Liberty Stands Still , its not unique as someone said since Liberty Stands Still came out first the only difference is that in Liberty Stands Still Wesly Snipes character had a reason behind what he was doing in Phone Booth the impression i got was the Kieefer Sutherlands character was doing it without any real reason just because he thought the guys he chose were liars, cheaters or whatever if thats the case for Phone Booth 2 he'll have to target almost half of New York and i also thought that Colin Farrel is a great actor and his talents were wasted on this movie!

I've just seen it on DVD (It will comes out only on August,27th in France *sigh*, remember ? )
The actors were good to me, but I didn't managed to be caught by the rise of intensity... so I was slightly bored. To much yelling IMHO
5.9/10

I think the movie was great. It contained so many great elements, it not only contained action, but suspense and comedy as well. It also instilled fear in some I believe because just the thought that there could be someone out there like that is scary.... I think they did a great job developing the characters and making it interesting as they did so. The fact that he really didn't even leave the phonebooth didn't matter.
Oh and Darth V., he didn't do it because they were liars, he originally followed them because they interested him. It turned out that they happened to be evil people though. Liars and cheaters are no big deal to him, after finding out about them he did what he did because they were each insensitive to humanity in one way or another. A greedy broker, a PEDEFILE and just an overall horrible man were all examples of this. As ar as that comment about PHONE BOOTH 2 goes I think it would be a mistake, they have a great movie, leave it as that.

Yeh I thought it was good too. The "not leaving the Phone booth" only helps build up the movie.
I just didn't like one thing at the end, [SPOILER - highlight to read]: When they show the sniper and it's the pizza guy I was like: "Man this isn't the killer! The guy gets away!" Because by the voice is easy to tell who the kiler is And why does he kill the pizza guy? What did he do?
But overall it was good.

Well KruegerKid i still think the guy had no real motive for his actions and while i agree that those peoples were a greedy broker a PEDOPHILE or whatever thta still doesnt give him a motive and to me since he had to followed all those people around to find so much about them makes me think that the guy had no life and how did they attracted their attention? i doubt just by looking at them, how does invading other peoples privacy no matter how bad they are make him any better than his targets!

I liked Phone Booth, Collin Farrell really pulled it off
Although why couldn't he just run out of the phone booth really fast? Its really hard to hit a running target with a sniper scope

Well Tex [SPOILER - highlight to read]: he didn't know where the guy was. And the sniper would have started killing inocent ppl or gone after his wife.

Darth, he said he picked them just because the way they looked, nothing special. He is better than them because what he did was far less as evil as what they did. He followed them not intending to kill them but to get to know them better, that is, until he found out they were really bad people.
Oh yeah and exactly Kes thats what I was thinking.

i think this movie was good because whilst the whole thing was about a guy in a phonebooth (doesn't sound so interesting wen u say that), without realy changing anything eg sets, they managed to make a pretty good movie out of it.

I don't see how anyone could possibly enjoyed listening to Mr. Sutherlands voice for the ENTIRE movie. a review of the movie in a newspaper said that he wouldn't recommend the movie unless you get off on listening to his voice I found that funny

The film draws you in and makes you care for the characters, thats the magic of this film. It doesn't need SFX and multiple locations to make it interesting.
