Oh Melkor's not really star busting... or I should say, suns can be replaced by artifacts a person can carry in LotR verse. They aren't, like, the giant balls of gas we know and love.
He is continent scale busting and shaping to be sure, though.
Later eras after he's continually weakened and goes by Morgoth are more beatable.
