No Metroid game has been really good since Super Metroid
Eh, while it's easily one of the top contenders of the series, there were some that I feel aged better than it (have a soft spot for it though due to being the 1st or 2nd Metroid that I got to play firsthand), but even the ones inferior to Super (being at least most of them) shouldn't be lumped with Other M quality-wise.

I'm just teasing you because you went to defend Other M instead of highlighting DKCR like I did The Prime series is the greatest three games Nintendo has ever had under their banner though.

Metroid Prime wasn't even the best game Nintendo launched on 2002, let alone in Nintendo's whole history

It was made by Retro, not Nintendo. It was released after Metroid the Other M.

Damn. That's right. I forgot about that. Yet another sweet-ass game.
Anyways, my point was that Team Ninja was on Other M AND this. Hence my initial concern.

Isn't Retro part of Nintendo though?
Unlike Team Ninja

Yes, good point. Same with Monolith.
Indieszero then? The two NES Remixes were also released after the Other M.

What Nintendo game was better than Prime in 2002; Wind Waker?
If that is the case...then Damn. That is a tough contender.

Yes, I was thinking Wind Waker.
I wonder if I should play the Other M, people mostly talk bad stuff about the game

Better Wind Waker than Metroid Fusion as a contender for Prime I guess (far as 2002 games). Between Prime and Wind Waker though I suppose you can't go wrong. Different strokes and all that.
As for Other M, depending on your taste, you may think differently of it from most after actually playing it, so wouldn't hurt. Its gameplay is at least decent, aside from the (IMO) clunkiness of the 1st person mode.

This is basically what went down, yes. The gameplay was great, the story, less so.

Well the Japanese release was apparently 2002, while the west and everywhere else was 2003, so they might've been thinking the former.
