The only way Link can damage them with swords is after a long fight, and with other means to assist. Its not like he can tap one on the back and it dies. They are incredibly durable.
Denying they can survive volcanic blasts?

Gandalf can laugh off fireballs but that doesn't mean magical swords and other means can't hurt him. Quit being a fanboy. You debate like one from time to time.

There's a great difference between facing a fire ball to facing the explosive force of a volcano blast. Did I mention the Goron was asleep during this? Didn't even wake him up.

They are comparable. Sauron is head and shoulders above the rest.
The point is he was defeated by Saruman and his Tk but laughed off a fireball. Quit thinking pure force alone. A punch is a lot more powerful but plug any persons nose and mouth and they die every time.
Fire resistance but not arrow, swords, etc. resistant.
I said explosion, I didn't mention the fire. And I know I mentioned swords sparking off their underbelly, not their hard backs. Thatd blade, blunt and explosive force. Least you forget that no one will be able to get within arms reach.

They're much quicker than humans and can kill them with a single touch. They have the high durability from tanking bombs, and if they do fall they can be recovered to full force with an allies scream. Finally they can turn other people into more TwiBeasts.
Like heavily armoured Wargs on steroids who revive in packs and create new Wargs from their prey.
Worse yet is either Twilight being dropped, or Shadow Crystals being thrown around everywhere. As simple as sending in hoards of phantom Zant's and having them explode within the forces.

Why won't they ? Massive armies stand against them. Their flesh is not invulnerable. They face a Balog, trolls, Uruk Hai, Ents, Nazgul, elves, dwarves, etc. outnumbering them by the thousands these slow oafish characters.
Anyone who thinks Gorons solo the Lotr universe is a fanboy.
