Could be many things. It may have been as said above that she was truly attracted to only young boys. It could have been that she really had major self-esteem issues and that coupled with other things led her to decide that it was okay in the situation despite knowing that in reality it wasn't something that would be acceptable. Looks and means have very little to do with it. Jared of Subway fame could have easily ridden his notoriety and wealth to sleep with some very good looking women but he raped children and watched child porn because he clearly had some effed up notions in his head. Look at that female teacher from FL years back who became the first "hot" child rapist and started off a streak of making women like herself famous; there was definitely nothing wrong with her in the looks department, and I believe she was even married.
That is true, I just suppose I just think of how much easier it is for a woman to get a guy to sleep with her than vice versa when I see these stories.

Yeah, you really can't credit them having difficulty finding a partner. Even if they're shy they could coyly throw it at an of age male and have success in time. Clearly they're just as predatory as males who do the same. They choose young, impressionable boys because they are easy targets in the end, not simply because it's just to hard to find someone their own age. Most of the female teachers have been married or at least in relationships.
You have to take into account when a teacher does this though. A teacher is in a position of power over these kids, and even if they are over 14, just shouldn't be f*cking them.
That child is very lucky for the mom he/she is going to grow up with, I'm sure.
