Till a few years ago when I stopped buying comics, I had the whole Angel After the Fall comic arc, and every other Comics Angel was in. Canon or non canon.
I even made a respect thread for Angel when I was in the Lounge under the name Devil Kings.
IIRC, Joss later explained that the " kick his ass" statement was a tactical decision and had nothing to do with jealousy.

I don't know why some of you are going on about being right and winning. Rob and Impediment were in on this gag because I PMed them. Silent and Rao PMed me and figured I changed the post. I highly doubt anybody thought Quan made the post, but simply played along just for the lulz.
It's completely ridiculous to equate killing a man who was harmless to her and had at that moment done nothing wrong to Willow killing the monster who tried to murder her best friend and did in fact murder her girlfriend, and to Giles putting down Glorificus' mortal host so that the Hellgod inside of him would die as well.
Let us also not forget that Faith proceeded to go buckwild and work for a murderous mayor who planned to become a demon by sacrificing an entire high school, tried to kill Buffy and rape Xander, and then proceeded to take over Buffy's body which she used to have sex with Buffy's at the time boyfriend.
It's particularly goofy to bring up Giles because that killing in particular didn't happen in front of anyone else. No one knew about it, he was making a hard call that he knew Buffy wouldn't be able to make.
No, Faith had reformed by the end of the series but it is dishonest to pretend they're hypocrites for forgiving Willow who acted out of mad grief and bad writing-induced addiction and being less keen to forgive Faith who attempted premeditated murder several times as well as rape.
Also, Buffy the actual character sucks. Sucks big phucking balls.
I just have a problem when the 'abusive' episode happens again, and again, and again, and again...
It doesn't sound like he was physically forced in any way. She was playing mind games with him at best, telling him they would become a real couple when he turned 18. So if she was just playing him to get what she wanted, yes it's twisted, but...doesn't seem like real abuse to me,

Faith also killed the Mayor's assistant by accident as they turned a corner IIRC, regardless of the justifications and reasons behind why Willow and Giles are both murderers, they're both murderers.

Okay so he stalked buffy with the help of the powers that be.
he was still watching her and it's implied it happened more than just the time we saw

Xander was a teenager and his crush was willing to date a mass murderer over him, so you could see why he was salty. Yeah he took it too far, but he got better.
As for doing nothing when Anya became a demon again, what was he supposed to do?
U say Giles, Xander, and Willow got away with so much, but did they really? The only truly bad thing Giles did was abandon Buffy after she got resurrected. But you made it seem like he was getting away with a plethora of shit. He was right to be concerned about Spike.
I don't know what Xander got away with. He was a jealous insecure teenager when he was...a teenager. I dunno what you wanted them to do. And Willow? I don't know what she was truly allowed to get away with. She suffered consequences for her abuse of magic.
And why would you act like Wesley and Gunn deserve to be punished? What did Wesley do? That whole thing with Angels kid wasn't his fault and he certainly didn't deserve to die.
If Wesley and Gunn deserve to die then Angel, Spike, and Faith deserve to die 1,000 times over.

They didn't give Faith a ton of shit at first. The Scoobies reached out to her and tried to be there for her. They gave her shit after she tried to lie and say Buffy was the one who did it.
Xander came to talk to Faith and she more or less tried to murder him. And yeah they were snippy years later, but that was probably also impacted by Faith stealing Buffy's body and also the murder attempts.
Willow killed someone who was a murderer. Half the scoobies agreed with what she did to Warren. But how should they have punished her? Did she deserve to die? I don't think so. She could turn herself in, but that's dangerous for everyone if she succumbs again to her magic addiction while in prison. Should Buffy have slain her?
Giles did what needed to be done. He was correct: if Ben had lived Glory would have come back and she would have just killed them all.
I don't see the hypocrisy. It was how Faith behaved after she killed the mayors assistant that truly turned people against her.

The one puzzling thing was late in the final season when they all turn on Buffy and kicked her out of the house.

I was actually talking about the final season when I said they were giving Faith shit about the murder of the mayor's assistant (pretty sure she went on to kill others after turning to the dark side).
There's a scene where Buffy brings her back into the fold and I'm pretty sure it's Giles who says, 'But she killed a man', or something to that effect, but by that point both he and Willow are murderers too so yeah, he's a hypocrite. Sure he didn't have much of a choice but he still killed an unarmed, injured man in cold blood. He's a murderer, Willow is a murderer, Faith is a murderer, and how many people do you think were killed by Spike, Angel and Anya? Between them it could number in the tens of thousands.

Anya heralded should be in the thousands. After all, she was a demon for a 1,000 years. And she was responsible for creating one of the best time line in The Buffy verse. The Wishverse. Being beating by Angel’s human verse timeline.
I always felt kinda bad when people gave Spike and Angel shit for things they did when they didn't have a soul.
I remember in the final season of Angel them telling Spike he was going to hell. I always thought, why? Why would his soul go to hell? It didn't do anything wrong. It's not like the soul was in hell for all those years Spike was a vampire and didn't have it.
