Ungoliant vs Tom Bombadil

Hi, I'm new here and would like to hear your opinions about some 'fights'.

Ungoliant vs Tom Bombadil
Gil-Galad vs Ecthelion
Gil-Galad vs Glorfindel
Eru vs Ungoliant & Melkor
Gothmog vs Ungoliant
Tom Bombadil vs Melkor
Last but not least: Uruk-Hai from Isengard vs Uruk-hai from Mordor

I really want to know so I have a clear idea about some creatures. Especially Ungoliant and Tom Bombadil.

Thanks in advance.

Well then.

1. Ungoliant, at peak, would probably consume Tom Bombadil. He's not noted for being a fighter so much as a 'master of his limited domain'.

2. Gil-Galad probably. Ecthelion was a hard-ass, but his sole feat includes a phyrric battle against a Balrog which is questionably canon.

3. Glorfindel at peak, ftw. He was nigh-Maiar levels of badassery.

4. Eru wins every battle. Not even a contest.

5. Ungoliant owns Gothmog. He's never beaten anyone alone.

6. Melkor would win. Again, Tom Bombadil is so much of a pacifist and unknown that he can't arguably beat anyone but a barrow-wight.

7. Idk.

Seems that Gil-Galad and Ecthelion are equal to eachother.

How about this fight: Melkor vs Gil-Galad, Ecthelion and Glorfindel
They're fighting at the same time. Can the mighty elves bring down Melkor?

Tom Bombadil couldn't withstand Sauron and his might if the latter had his One Ring. Why would Ungoliant, who could threaten Melkor at her peak, be weaker? That doesn't follow.

Probably not. Melkor was still very powerful and they will tire after awhile.

Why not? Fingolfin succeeded in wounding Melkor seven times in one battle, Melkor got a limp and was forever in pain.

I think those 3 elves, who are very powerful and skilled, can defeat Melkor.

Chiefly because the damage they did to him was superficial, but he created pits with each strike and Fingolfin ran out of steam in a relatively short time. The trio can't dodge forever and they can only take one strike, whereas Melkor's durability, while not infinite, is much higher.

Morgoth is frankly so powerful that the fight with Fingolfin never should have happened.

Someone who can raze hundreds of miles of mountains and plains with a sea of flame shouldn't have to go out and fight with mace and shield. And get his ass kicked.
